Job description: Fork Lift Truck Driver Job Description GEM are working with a global automotive organisation to recruit a number of Fork Lift Drivers for their facility in Newton Aycliffe. Duties • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move goods safely, • Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and storage areas, • Transport goods to designated storage locations within a warehouse or site, • Stack and organize products in racks, shelves, or pallets, • Inspect forklift equipment daily to ensure it is safe and operational, • Follow workplace safety rules and procedures, • Keep accurate records of inventory movements and deliveries, • Assist with general warehouse duties such as packing, labelling, and stock checks, • Valid forklift operator certification/licence, • Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures, • Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness, • Basic numeracy and record-keeping skills, • Ability to follow instructions and work in a team Location: Newton Aycliffe Hours of work: Monday to Friday • Days - 7am-3pm, • Backs – 3pm-11pm, • Days - £13.21 per hour, • Backs - £15.85 per hour To stay safe in your job search we recommend that you visit JobsAware, a non-profit, joint industry and law enforcement organisation working to combat job scams.
