About the role We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 2 HGV Delivery Driver to join our client's friendly and professional team in Dartford. This long-term, ongoing day-shift assignment offers consistent routes to regular customer locations, giving you the stability of familiar deliveries and predictable working hours. You will work independently, manage each delivery safely and efficiently, and represent the business to a high standard. The role includes manual loading and unloading, accurate paperwork, use of job-tracking technology and occasional warehouse support at the end of the shift. Key responsibilities · Carry out thorough vehicle checks at the beginning and end of every shift, reporting any defects promptly. · Load and unload the vehicle safely, ensuring all goods are secure and the trailer is emptied on return to site. · Consistent local routes servicing approximately 4 regular customer locations (maximum delivery distance to London). · Use job-tracking software to receive assignments, update delivery status and navigate the route. · Complete all delivery paperwork accurately and use computerised equipment as required. · Build and maintain a positive, professional relationship with regular customers. · Follow all road safety, site and company procedures. · Support with occasional end-of-shift warehouse duties, including putting cages away, as directed.
