Temporary Communications Officer\nLocation: Remote (must be able to attend the Edinburgh office when required)\n Start: ASAP \n Duration: 12 - 16 weeks\n Rate: £19.00 per hour\n Hours: Monday to Friday (35 hous per week)\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nWe are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Communications Officer to join their team on a temporary basis. This is a remote role (you must be able to attend the Edinburgh office when required and potentially at short notice), offering the opportunity to support high impact programmes and deliver engaging communications across a range of stakeholders.\n \nThis is a hands on, delivery focused position suited to someone who can translate complex information into clear, compelling content and manage communications activity in a fast paced environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDevelop and deliver engaging communications across a range of channels including newsletters, email updates and stakeholder briefings\nProduce high quality written content such as articles, case studies, web content and programme summaries\nTranslate complex project activity into clear, accessible messaging for different audiences\nCoordinate communications activity ensuring consistency, quality and timely delivery\nSupport communications for events including pre and post event content and engagement\nMaintain communication plans, trackers and timelines\nLiaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to gather content and ensure alignment\nSupport website updates and digital communications activity\nAssist with email marketing campaigns and contact database managementAbout You\n\nProven experience in a communications, marketing or engagement role\nExcellent written communication skills with the ability to tailor content for different audiences\nStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively\nExperience producing a range of written content (e.g. newsletters, articles, briefings)\nAbility to work independently and take ownership of tasks\nHigh attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines\nConfident working with stakeholders and building effective working relationships\nComfortable using digital platforms, including CMS (e.g. WordPress) and email marketing toolsDesirable Skills & Experience\n\nExperience supporting communications for projects, programmes or campaigns\nFamiliarity with digital content creation (e.g. basic video or design tools)\nExperience working with multiple stakeholders or across organisationsApply Now\nIf you are an experienced communications professional available for an immediate start and looking for a flexible, remote opportunity, we would love to hear from you.\n\nBy registering with Office Angels, you'll benefit from the support of a dedicated and experienced recruitment consultant, access to expert interview guidance, regular insights into the local job market, and ongoing feedback throughout your assignment and beyond.\n\nWhy Temp With Office Angels?\n Working as a temp is a great way to explore different roles and industries while maintaining control over your work/life balance.
