3rd Line Engineer – Managed Service Provider (MSP) Location: Kent (office-based with some client site travel) Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday Iconology Ltd is a Kent-based Managed Service Provider (MSP) delivering modern, reliable, people-focused IT services. We are recruiting a 3rd Line Engineer to strengthen our senior technical capability and maintain continuity, quality, and technical leadership across our client environments. About the role: As a 3rd Line Engineer, you will act as the final technical escalation point within the business. You will resolve complex, high-impact technical issues, deliver infrastructure and cloud projects, mentor other engineers, and help shape technical standards and improvements across the company. Key responsibilities include: - Acting as the final point of technical escalation - Resolving complex, high-severity, or business-critical incidents - Performing advanced diagnostics across cloud, server, network, and security platforms - Delivering infrastructure, cloud, and security projects end to end - Conducting root cause analysis and recommending long-term fixes - Providing technical leadership and mentoring to 1st and 2nd Line engineers - Contributing to technical standards, documentation, and continuous improvement - Working closely with senior leadership on technical decisions and risk - Liaising with vendors and third parties where required About you: - Significant experience in an MSP or multi-client IT environment - Strong technical capability across Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, networking, and security - Confidence diagnosing complex, multi-layered issues - Experience delivering infrastructure or cloud projects - Clear written and verbal communication skills - A professional, supportive approach to mentoring and teamwork - Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to client sites when required What we offer: - A stable MSP environment with clear processes and expectations - A role with real ownership and technical influence - Company-funded training and certification support - Clear progression opportunities - Full-time role based in Kent For more information about working at Iconology, please visit: How to apply: Your application should include: - Your CV - A short covering letter outlining: * The role you’re applying for * Your relevant experience * Why you’re interested in working at Iconology - You’re welcome to include any additional supporting information you feel is relevant (for example, certifications or examples of recent work) Please submit your application as instructed on this advert or to
