We're looking for a talented Systems Engineer with a good understanding of the Space Segment and experience of technical assurance and verification. Space Segment knowledge is the most important requirement for this role (preferably GEO). Additional expertise in subsystems - for instance Payload Engineering, or a background in Firmware, DSP, RF, FPGA or hardware generally - would be helpful. There will be a requirement to travel The Role • To ensure fire safety compliance across a portfolio of facilities, including high-risk nuclear sites, by implementing robust fire prevention strategies, conducting inspections, and supporting emergency preparedness. The Fire Officer will act as a key liaison between facilities management teams and nuclear regulatory bodies to uphold fire safety standards and mitigate risks. Main Responsibilities: Fire Safety Management • Develop and maintain fire safety policies and procedures in line with UK legislation and nuclear sector regulations., • Conduct fire risk assessments and ensure timely mitigation of identified risks., • Oversee fire detection and suppression systems, ensuring regular maintenance and compliance., • Lead fire drills and emergency evacuation exercises.
