Axon Moore are working with a fast-growing, PE-backed business to appoint a Financial Accountant. Based in Manchester city centre, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing finance team within a business experiencing strong, sustained growth.\n\nOperating as a multi-entity group, the business partners with clients and continues to scale through technology and strategic partnerships. This role will play a key part in strengthening financial control, supporting month-end processes, and delivering high-quality financial reporting across the group.\n\nSalary and Benefits\n\n£50,000 – £52,000 per annum DOE, hybrid working (3 days in the office), flexible working hours, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension scheme, private medical, plus other benefits.\n\nRole Responsibilities:\n\nOwn and deliver key aspects of the month-end close process across multiple entities.\nPrepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are fully supported and accurately reported.\nAssist with group consolidations, including inter-company reconciliations and adjustments.\nPost and review journals including accruals, prepayments, and inter-company transactions.\nSupport the preparation of financial reports, providing clear commentary on performance and variances.\nMaintain fixed asset registers, including additions, disposals and depreciation.\nSupport the audit process, preparing audit files and acting as a key contact for external auditors.\nAssist with VAT returns and wider tax compliance processes.\nIdentify and implement improvements to financial processes, controls, and reporting.\nBuild strong relationships across the business, supporting stakeholders with financial insight where required.\nSupport ad-hoc projects and ongoing development of systems and processes as the business continues to scale.\nRequirements for the role:\n\nACA or ACCA qualified\nPractice background or experienced within a similar Financial Accountant role.\nExposure to group consolidations is desirable.\nExperience with Xero or similar systems.\nIntermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups).\nHighly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.\nStrong attention to detail with a proactive and inquisitive approach.\nConfident communicator, able to build relationships across the business.\nSelf-starter with ambition to develop within a high-growth environment.\nFor more information, please contact Harriett at Axon Moore
