About: Inclusive United Community Interest Company is a non-profit organisation providing enriching experiences for young adults with learning disabilities during the daytime, weekdays. Our main goal is to create more inclusive sport opportunities for underrepresented groups. We provide a safe, fun space for young adults with learning disabilities. Monday - outside sessions on Astro along with indoor activities such as snooker and table tennis at Grove Hill Adventure Playground in Hemel Hempstead. Tuesday - Wellbeing sessions which are Pilates and Yoga inspired classes for young adults with learning disabilities at the Dacorum Active Hub, Grove Hill Adventure Playground. Thursday afternoons and Friday mornings - Futsal sessions at Hertfordshire Sports Village. We are also increasing our offerings across Herts over the next few months. Role overview: As an Inclusive Sports Coach, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our sports and social sessions. The primary role is working as part of a team of FA qualified coaches, mostly female coaches, to run fun, inclusive sessions adapted to the needs of the individuals who attend. This role is for 80 hours spread over a 4 week rolling rota. You will be supporting a young male adult 1-1 in his own home and out in the community. There is no personal care in this role . It is companionship, managing medical appointments and supporting the individual in his day to day life to make positive decisions. You will be required to support with shopping and cleaning . The individual has Autism , adhd, dyspraxia, anxiety and Epilepsy. You must have experience of managing seizures and knowledge of Autism. You must be confident in setting boundaries, the individual is not physically challenging but boundaries are important so it is clear to the individual what is expected. The shifts are as follows: Day shift - 09.30-17.30 Night shift - 20.00-06.00 You must be able to work weekends and bank holidays with the rest of the team . The team consists of 4 personal assistants . Nights are not compulsory. Overtime will be available to cover holidays and sickness. You will be paid every 4 weeks via bacs and accrue holiday pay.
