Customs & Logistics Administrator \n St Athan \n Competitive Salary \n Full-Time | Permanent \n The Opportunity \n An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and detail-oriented Customs & Logistics Administrator to join a growing logistics and supply chain operation based in St Athan. \n This role is ideal for an individual with experience in logistics, customs compliance, shipping administration, or warehouse support who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in supporting import and export activities, ensuring customs compliance, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting the day-to-day operation of the Goods In function. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Manage import and export compliance activities through customs brokers.\n, • Support the administration of Customs Warehousing and Inward Processing regimes.\n, • Prepare commercial invoices, bills of discharge, and customs-related documentation.\n, • Maintain accurate customs records and ensure compliance with HMRC requirements.\n, • Coordinate and control the Goods Receiving Area, ensuring stakeholders are informed of deliveries.\n, • Input and maintain goods receipt, shipping, and inventory data across business systems.\n, • Upload and manage shipping information and logistics records.\n, • Raise purchase orders for logistics and shipping consumables as required.\n, • Support warehouse, shipping, and third-party logistics (3PL) operations when needed.\n, • Assist with stock accuracy through effective use of ERP and inventory management systems.\n, • Ensure compliance with Dangerous Goods transportation regulations.\n, • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across logistics and customs processes.\n, • Provide holiday and absence cover within the logistics team as required.\n\n About You \n The successful candidate will demonstrate: \n\n • Previous experience within logistics, freight, customs, supply chain, or warehouse administration.\n, • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.\n, • Strong organisational and time management skills.\n, • Experience using ERP, inventory management, or logistics systems.\n, • Good communication skills with the ability to build relationships across departments.\n, • The ability to identify issues and proactively implement solutions.\n, • A flexible and adaptable approach to changing business requirements.\n, • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.\n, • A positive, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude.\n\n Desirable Experience \n\n • Customs compliance and import/export administration.\n, • HMRC customs procedures and documentation.\n, • Customs Warehousing and Inward Processing regimes.\n, • Dangerous Goods regulations.\n, • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Quantum, AvSight, or similar platforms.\n, • Warehousing, shipping, or freight forwarding environments.\n\n What's on Offer? \n\n • Opportunity to join a growing and dynamic logistics operation.\n, • Varied role with exposure to customs, logistics, inventory, and shipping activities.\n, • Supportive team environment.\n, • Ongoing development and training opportunities.\n, • Long-term career progression within the supply chain and logistics sector.\n\n If you're looking for your next opportunity within logistics and customs administration and want to be part of a business where your contribution makes a real impact, we'd love to hear from you. \n \n
