The Service This specialist residential service provides high-quality care and support for adults with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, and behaviours that challenge. Set within a homely and therapeutic environment, the service is committed to preserving dignity, individuality and privacy, while promoting community integration and outcome-led, person-centred support The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead a dedicated care team within a specialist residential setting. You will hold full responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of the service, ensuring safe, effective and person-centred care, strong governance, and full compliance with CQC and safeguarding standards. This role would also suit a highly capable Deputy Manager ready to step up into a Registered Manager position. Key Responsibilities • Provide strong, visible leadership, fostering a positive, values-led and empowering culture, • Ensure the service is safe, responsive, effective and well-led in line with CQC expectations, • Oversee person-centred care planning, risk management and positive behaviour support, • Recruit, develop and retain a skilled and motivated workforce, leading on supervision, training and performance management, • Maintain robust governance processes, including audits, incident management and continuous improvement plans, • Build effective working relationships with families, commissioners, social workers and multi-disciplinary professionals, • Manage resources and budgets responsibly, supporting service sustainability and quality outcomes What You’ll Need • Proven experience as a Registered Manager, or significant experience as a Deputy Manager ready to progress, • Background in mental health, learning disability, autism and/or complex needs services, • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding and quality assurance frameworks, • A recognised management qualification (e.g. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care) or willingness to work towards this, • A calm, confident and compassionate leadership style with excellent communication skills, • The ability to manage competing priorities and lead continuous service improvement, • A genuine commitment to person-centred, recovery-focused and outcomes-led care What’s on Offer • A supportive and values-driven organisation, • The opportunity to make a meaningful difference within a specialist service, • Ongoing training and professional development, • Company pension and wellbeing support, • On-site or nearby parking (where available), • A welcoming, inclusive and collaborative team culture Safer Recruitment Appointment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references and relevant pre-employment checks.
