Job DescriptionMig Welder/Fabricator Job Description Join our team as a Welder/Fabricator, where you will play a vital role in fitting and welding steel tray racks for grocery stores. You will work primarily in the aluminum department, performing MIG welding on 18-gauge to 14-gauge materials using a thumb switch and silicon bronze filler rod. This position requires attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality standards in a non-climate-controlled facility. Responsibilities • Set up welding machines based on job requirements or Welding Procedure Specifications., • Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine welding requirements., • Perform MIG welding on steel components as per blueprint specifications., • Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards., • Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators., • Assemble items as instructed by floor supervisor., • Maintain clean and organized work areas, and care for all equipment and facilities., • Adhere to all company rules, policies, safety rules, and quality standards., • Collaborate with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency., • Lift raw materials, final products, and packed items for shipment, manually, up to 60 pounds., • Experience with MIG and/or TIG welding., • Ability to read blueprints and interpret welding requirements., • Experience with aluminum and/or stainless steel., • Ability to lift heavy items up to 60 pounds consistently., • Strong attention to detail and focus on tasks., • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred., • Certification from a two-year college or technical school preferred., • One-year related experience and/or training required., • Ability to identify and measure materials., • Demonstrated ability to produce quality products consistently. Work Environment This position is located in an industrial, non-climate-controlled manufacturing plant. The working hours are from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Prairie, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
