PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES • Lead project meetings with the event team to ensure everyone is aligned on the goals of the event and on top of their respective responsibilities., • Oversight and management of a small group of conference producers to ensure they are meeting deadlines, leading their event teams and producing successful events that meet business goals., • Organize and lead the launch/go-to-market meetings and post-conference debriefs where planning for the next iteration of the event begins., • Review and develop strategies to improve existing portfolio events and deliver proposals for potential new launch events and add-on products such as summits and workshops, that could complement and grow the existing portfolio., • Conduct research via various channels to identify innovative conference topics, write program content and source industry leaders as speakers., • Work with colleagues to select event timing and venue to maximize industry participation and best position events against potential competitor events., • Build and maintain relationships with C-level and other senior executives across the industry as program and event advisors., • Identify emerging issues faced by the real estate industry and stay informed about political and macroeconomic trends affecting the broader financial markets., • Write event briefs and deliver these to the team members from other key departments working on any given event., • Write copy for the event websites and other marketing collateral., • Work closely and communicate with other team members to ensure that the event is on track to achieve its financial targets., • Lead the event team which includes the producer, marketing manager, sales manager, audience development manager, operations manager and coordination manager., • Meet regularly with direct reports in the conference production team to ensure deadlines and event goals are being met, and providing feedback and guidance to support them in achieving their goals and growing within their roles., • Establish external advisory boards to discuss content ideas, speaker suggestions and other means to improve the overall product and event experience for clients., • Work closely with the marketing team to design a marketing plan for each event, acquire data, establish media partnerships and write/review copy for marketing collateral., • Consult with the event sponsors on desired speaking roles and topics of interest to ensure they are positioned appropriately within the program, where required., • Work with the sales team to identify appropriate sponsor targets, given the subject matter. Braven does not base compensation on individual candidate salary expectations and is committed to maintaining internal equity. The salary ranges, by geographic market, for this role are set forth $79,200-$99,000 in Atlanta, $83,600-$104,400 in Chicago, and $92,000-$114,900 in New York, NY and Newark, NJ. This is based on a 50-hour work week at an hourly rate. This is a full-time, regular, exempt, and benefits-eligible position where you will be working at 100% capacity. Location We gather in the office 3 days per week (on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and work remotely 2 days per week (although certain commitments might adjust that from time to time). Therefore, this role requires teammates to live within commuting distance of one of our hubs: Chicago, IL; Atlanta, GA; New York, NY; or Newark, NJ.
