Job DescriptionJob Title: Assembly Associate Job Description This role involves assembling components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment using hand and power tools, while following safety procedures and production guidelines. You will work on your feet for most of the shift, handle materials of varying weights, and contribute directly to the manufacturing process by building quality products according to specifications and blueprints. Responsibilities • Assemble components and products according to blueprints, work instructions, and production specifications., • Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools such as tape measures to complete assembly tasks accurately., • Stand, walk, and move continuously throughout the shift while performing assembly and related duties., • Lift, carry, and move materials and products, including continuously lifting up to 25 pounds, frequently lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds., • Reach with hands and arms, use hands to handle and feel parts and tools, and maintain dexterity for detailed assembly work., • Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed to access materials, equipment, or work areas., • Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment, including ear protection, eye protection, and other PPE as directed., • Work safely around moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and other typical manufacturing hazards., • Support production goals by maintaining efficiency, quality, and accuracy in all assembly tasks., • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth workflow and address any issues that arise during production., • Adapt to working in both indoor and outdoor plant areas, including exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions., • Operate and handle equipment and tools in a way that minimizes risk of electrical shock and vibration exposure., • Maintain attention to detail and use proper visual focus to inspect parts and assemblies for accuracy and quality.Essential Skills, • Experience in assembly work within a production, construction, or manufacturing environment., • Proficiency in using hand tools for assembly tasks., • Proficiency in using power tools safely and effectively., • Ability to read and work from blueprints or similar technical documents., • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and production workflows., • Ability to use a tape measure accurately for measuring and cutting materials., • Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift., • Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds., • Ability to work safely around moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and loud noise., • Strong awareness of safety practices and consistent use of personal protective equipment., • Adequate vision for close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus to perform detailed work.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Background in construction or truss assembly is beneficial., • Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing or production environment., • Comfort working in environments with varying temperatures, including extreme heat and cold., • Ability to adapt to changing tasks and priorities in a fast-paced setting., • Strong teamwork and communication skills to support a collaborative work environment.Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in an indoor and outdoor plant environment that is consistently loud and requires the use of ear plugs and eye protection, along with other required personal protective equipment. You will work around moving mechanical parts and may encounter airborne particles, vibration, and a risk of electrical shock as part of normal plant operations. The role involves exposure to outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold, as work areas may be partially or fully outdoors. The standard shift runs from 4:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, requiring comfort with early start times and extended workdays. The environment is physically demanding, with continuous standing and walking, frequent lifting, and hands-on work using hand and power tools in a busy manufacturing setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boise, ID. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
