Summary This role is ideal for an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician who is confident in surgery and anesthesia and enjoys being deeply involved in patient care from start to finish. Youll play a key role in supporting our veterinarians, ensuring patient safety, and delivering excellent care during surgical and medical procedures. Responsibilities • Prepare patients for surgery, including anesthesia induction, intubation, clipping, and scrubbing, • Monitor patients under anesthesia and assist veterinarians during surgical procedures, • Provide post-operative recovery care and ongoing patient monitoring, • Calculate, prepare, and administer anesthetic and pain management medications, • Prepare and maintain surgical packs, instruments, and treatment areas, • Accurately enter medical, surgical, and anesthesia notes into the electronic medical record, • Fill medications, discharge patients, and educate clients on at-home care, • Assist with inventory, equipment upkeep, and daily hospital flow, • Follow all hospital protocols, safety procedures, and best practices, • Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license, • Minimum 23 years of hands-on veterinary technician experience preferred, • Strong working knowledge of anesthesia, surgery, and patient monitoring, • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, • Dependable, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure, • Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset, • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and assist with larger animals as needed, • Active hospital setting with frequent standing, bending, lifting, and patient handling, • Exposure to anesthetic agents, controlled substances, noise, and animal-related hazards, • Health, dental, and vision insurance, • 401(k) with employer match, • Paid vacation and paid sick time, • Continuing education support, • Professional license and membership reimbursement, • Generous employee discount on pet care, • Employee Assistance Program, • Referral program, • Supportive, collaborative team environment Apply today and help us care for pets like theyre our own.
