The position is, 8 hours per day 12 months per year. Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Human Resources Support Technician Job Description The goal of this position is to support Human Resources functions in the recruitment, employment, assignment, and evaluation of the highest quality employees available to the District; provide technical information and assistance to applicants, employees, and the community regarding Human Resources functions; ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies; and maintain confidentiality of sensitive and privileged information. Incumbents may perform any combination of the essential job functions listed below. *Denotes an essential job function. · Assists in the overall operation of the Human Resources Department by maintaining accurate employee records and providing support to all District applicants, employees, and the community.* · Provides information and assistance regarding a variety of personnel matters such as employment opportunities, position requirements, health and welfare benefits, and personnel regulations, policies and procedures. * · Inputs, updates, and accesses a variety of records and information in all the Human Resources information systems.* · Fulfills the hiring activities for all District employees; interprets and explains District hiring policies and guidelines.* · Greets and assists employees and visitors; routes and screens visitors and calls; reads and responds to email as appropriate. * · Facilitates employee new hire or health benefit orientations; prepares orientation packets and informational materials including forms and pamphlets required by law. · Coordinates applicant screenings and interviews; prepares interview packets and forwards correspondence regarding interviews and recruitment, when appropriate.* · Supports the Human Resources leadership that bolsters the educational programs of the District while remaining compliant with state and federal requirements.* · Works effectively and collaboratively with staff, students, parents, and the community. · Supports employee involvement and recognition programs. · Supports strategies for the recruitment, selection, retention, and professional development of a diverse, high quality workforce. · Reviews employment applications for completeness and compliance with established selection requirements. · Assists employees in the submission of a variety of forms regarding employment, health benefits, payroll, and other matters.* · Processes documents required for employment, health benefits, resignation, change of assignment, payroll processes, and related information.* · Assists and coordinates in the exchange of information between various computer and database systems.* · Communicates with District school sites/departments and outside agencies to exchange information, resolve issues, and coordinate activities. * · Maintains confidentiality of sensitive and privileged information.* · Provides employment verification. · Provides information on salaries, credentials, and District procedures, as needed. · Attends a variety of meetings, conferences, and in-service trainings as assigned. · Operates a variety of office equipment including a computer and assigned software, copier, fax machine, and scanner. · Assists with the maintenance of the Human Resources webpage. · Performs other related duties as assigned. Education and Experience · High School diploma · Prior job related experience, preferred . Consideration will be given to a combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities that encompass the essential job functions.
