Daily Responsibilities The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator will be responsible for a diverse set of tasks that are crucial to our daily operations. Your day will involve a blend of hands-on logistics and detailed administrative work, ensuring a smooth flow of goods. • Collaborate closely with Quality Control personnel to meticulously inspect and verify that all incoming goods meet established quality standards and specifications., • Accurately process Production Orders, ensuring the timely movement and tracking of Work-In-Process (WIP) parts to support manufacturing schedules., • Manage inventory tracking and update order statuses within our JD Edwards and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to maintain real-time accuracy., • Prepare comprehensive and accurate shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs declarations for both domestic and international shipments., • Execute the safe and efficient loading and unloading of trailers, utilizing appropriate material handling equipment., • Ensure strict adherence to Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) procedures and other relevant customs regulations for all international shipments., • Perform daily pre-operation checks and routine maintenance on all assigned equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to ensure safe and continuous operation., • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and proficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shipping and receiving areas., • Participate in regular inventory counts and audits as required., • Communicate effectively with internal departments and external carriers to resolve shipping discrepancies or issues., • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a shipping, receiving, or general warehouse environment., • Demonstrated proficiency in operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks, with current certification or the ability to obtain certification upon hire., • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software; experience with JD Edwards is a significant advantage., • Basic computer literacy, including experience with email and data entry., • Ability to accurately read, write, and comprehend instructions in English., • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks, particularly documentation and inventory tracking., • Ability to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation. This includes standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a warehouse environment., • Reliable and Punctual: You are consistently on time and understand the importance of attendance in a logistics-driven environment., • Detail-Oriented: Your ability to notice small discrepancies and ensure accuracy in documentation and inventory is paramount., • Team Player: You enjoy collaborating with colleagues, supporting team goals, and communicating effectively with various departments., • Adaptable: You can easily adjust to changing priorities and are comfortable working overtime when operational needs arise., • Safety Conscious: You prioritize safety in all aspects of your work, from equipment operation to maintaining a tidy workspace., • Proactive Learner: You are eager to learn new systems and processes, continuously seeking ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness., • Work Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as required by business demands., • Work Location: On-site at our facility.
