Job Description Calm Water and Bath in Cherry Hill, NJ is hiring a full- or part-time Bookkeeper who's ready to jump in and make a positive impact. You'll give leaders a clear insight into our financial standing so they can make informed business decisions. You'll be responsible for: • Utilizing accrual accounting principles, • Recording job revenue and maintaining our general ledger, • Accurately tracking deposits, retainers, and payments, • Recording costs for labor, materials, and other expenses to measure project profitability, • Reconciling job costing data with production and procurement teams and reporting financial insights to leaders, • Accurately managing accounts payable and accounts receivable by processing invoices, matching bills to purchase orders, maintaining vendor records, coding expenses, and tracking customer payments in the CRM, • Flagging overdue balances and discrepancies, • Reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, and loans on a monthly basis, • Preparing accurate and detailed financial statements and leadership reports, • Preparing month- and year-end closes BOOKKEEPER QUALIFICATIONS If you've got: • Accounting software experience (preferably QuickBooks Online), • Job costing and project-based accounting experience, • Ability to use CRMs, spreadsheets, and job costing systems, • High Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets proficiency, • Strong understanding of accrual accounting, • Sharp attention to detail and high levels of accuracy, • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines WHO WE ARE We're Calm Water & Bath-and yes, we remodel bathrooms, but what we really create is daily serenity.
