Responsibilities • Diagnose and repair diesel engine, fuel system, emissions, electrical, drivability, cooling, exhaust, and aftertreatment concerns., • Perform maintenance, inspections, warranty repairs, customer-pay repairs, recalls, and internal repairs., • Work on diesel platforms such as Ford Power Stroke, GM Duramax, RAM Cummins, Isuzu, medium-duty trucks, fleet vehicles, and commercial vehicles., • Use scan tools, diagnostic equipment, manufacturer service information, and repair procedures., • Accurately document diagnostic findings, repair recommendations, and completed work., • Communicate parts needs, repair timelines, and technical findings with Service Advisors, Parts Department, Shop Foreman, and Service Management., • Maintain high repair quality and help reduce comebacks., • Follow dealership, manufacturer, warranty, and safety procedures., • Stay current with manufacturer training, diesel technology, emissions systems, recalls, and technical service bulletins., • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area. Qualifications • Previous diesel repair experience required., • Dealership diesel experience preferred., • Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills., • Experience with diesel engines, fuel systems, emissions systems, electrical systems, and drivability concerns., • Ability to use scan tools, diagnostic equipment, and manufacturer service information., • Ability to accurately document diagnostic steps and completed repairs., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to repair quality., • Ability to work efficiently in a flat-rate, hourly, or production-based environment., • Good communication skills with advisors, parts staff, foremen, and management., • Valid driver’s license required., • High school diploma or equivalent required., • ASE certifications, diesel certifications, or manufacturer training preferred. Preferred Experience Experience with domestic, import, diesel, commercial, and fleet service brands is welcomed.
