Job Description Job Summary: The Marketing Events Specialist reports to the Senior Marketing Events Manager and supports, and in some instances, owns the planning, execution, and evaluation of WAC Group’s marketing events. Working cross-functionally, the Marketing Events Specialist will leverage strong project management skills and sound decision-making abilities to deliver exceptional events that align with the overall marketing strategy and deliver measurable results. The position is full-time in-office and based in Port Washington, NY. Major Duties and Responsibilities: • Develop and implement a comprehensive, innovative marketing events strategy that supports 36 national shows., • Drive achievement of event lead results to maximize ROI and business goals., • Capture and provide high-quality real-time content (photo/video) that the creative team can use to demonstrate event success and fuel future marketing., • Oversee and analyze event budgets to ensure cost effectiveness., • Conduct and report on post-event surveys and analysis., • Ability to anticipate potential obstacles and plan accordingly to ensure event success., • Own and manage event logistics, including and not limited to vendor selection, contract review, negotiations, hiring contract event staff, hotel arrangements, and show services orders., • Develop and deliver detailed event timelines, run-of-show documents, final information emails, print production schedules, and manage the event calendar., • Create and document best practices and procedures. Identify, recommend, and follow through on opportunities for continuous improvement., • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams, including, but not limited to, R&D, Sales, Product Marketing, and Creative, to ensure consistent messaging and brand representation., • Establish and manage relationships with event vendors, including, but not limited to, caterers, entertainment, promotional suppliers, freight logistics, and hotel contacts., • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for all event logistics, coordinating with vendors, venue staff, and internal stakeholders. Requirements: • Ability for complex problem solving and swift, independent, sound decision making., • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment., • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills., • Team player promoting a “can-do" attitude., • Travel domestically and internationally (up to 30%), including weekends and on-call availability during high-impact events., • Flexible availability to work irregular hours, to include early mornings, events, and weekends, as dictated by the event schedule.
