The camp is 45 minutes from Hackensack, where our YMCA is located; all counselors and campers are bused to camp from the YMCA. Camp activities include swimming, boating, fishing, arts & crafts, sports & games, archery, nature, hiking, rock climbing, and challenge/low ropes course. Position: Seasonal. Camp Counselors live at the camp property during the Camp Season in a cabin setting. This position is supervised by the Camp Recreation Director. The camp season starts 6/15/2026 with training week. Camper sessions start Sunday, 6/21/2026.Camp sessions run from mid-day Sundays through mid-day Fridays. Day camp counselors are typically scheduled Monday - Friday daytime hours. However, flexibility and willingness to adjust hours to support weekend activities is preferred. THE ROLE: We are looking to hire an energetic and fun-loving Soccer Coach! Within the afterschool hours from 2PM to 6:30PM. Who will lead our children in fun and educational activities while ensuring safety for all. Our ideal candidate has prior experience working with children (as a sports coach, teacher, camper or leader), and enjoys working with children. This position is excellent for someone who has an interest in pursuing early childhood education, or child development. • Our Coaches use individual attention to ensure every child has success, • Our Coaches use a non-competitive approach to ensure classes are fun with a stress-free environment, • Our Coaches use positive reinforcement to encourage children to do better and celebrate success And finally, our coaches have a blast. All Coaches are open to feedback and strive to be better by attending regular trainings and following the Super Soccer Stars Coaching Manual Coaches Roles and Responsibilities: • Support the lead coach in the delivery of a dynamic and inspiring class, ensuring each child is engaged and challenged, and supporting them in achieving their motor development goals while fostering a passion for movement and healthy habits in an organized, structured, and enjoyable manner., • Demonstrate effective and concise communication by reporting any issues to the office and offering appropriate solutions., • Adhere to punctuality by arriving for class 15 minutes before the start time., • Proficiently set up and dismantle equipment., • Provide hands-on individual and group attention to children, offering personalized guidance and support.
