Miami Mixed Media Little River, Miami Part-Time & Full Time Opportunities We’re looking for the next person to join the Miami Mixed Media production team. Have you ever wondered how logos, artwork, names, and designs actually get embroidered onto hats, jackets, jerseys, and apparel? This is your chance to learn. We’re looking for someone who is motivated, quick to learn, hands on, and excited to develop a new skill. You do not need previous embroidery experience. If you have the right attitude and are willing to learn, our team will teach you. At Miami Mixed Media, you’ll work inside a real production environment where fashion, art, brands, music, sports, and manufacturing all come together under one roof. One day you might be helping produce embroidered hats for a brand. The next, you could be working on jerseys, jackets, appliqué, custom pieces, or thousands of garments for a large production order. No two days are exactly the same. About the Role This is a hands on production position. You’ll work directly alongside our experienced embroidery operators and production team, learning the embroidery process from the ground up while helping keep daily orders organized and moving through production. We don't expect you to walk in knowing everything. We do expect you to come in ready to work, pay attention, ask questions, follow instructions, and get better every day. What You’ll Learn You’ll receive hands-on training in: • How professional commercial embroidery machines work, • How to prepare and properly hoop garments and hats, • How different backings, threads, needles, and materials are used, • How to load embroidery designs and prepare machines for production, • How to identify correct placement, alignment, colors, and stitch quality, • How to change threads and prepare machines between jobs, • How large embroidery orders move through a professional production shop, • How to recognize common embroidery problems before they become costly mistakes, • Basic machine care and maintenance, • How appliqué and other specialty embroidery techniques are produced, • How to organize garments and completed orders throughout the production process As your skills improve, you'll have the opportunity to begin operating commercial embroidery machines yourself and taking on more responsibility within the department. What You’ll Actually Be Doing While you're learning, you'll help our embroidery team with: • Preparing garments for embroidery, • Hooping and unhooping garments, • Organizing garments by order, size, color, and design, • Preparing thread, backing, and other materials, • Trimming and cleaning finished embroidery, • Checking finished pieces for quality, • Folding, counting, and organizing completed garments, • Keeping machines and production areas clean and organized, • Helping operators load and unload production, • Following instructions from embroidery leads, managers, and supervisors, • Helping wherever needed to keep production moving efficientlyWho We’re Looking For No embroidery experience is required. What matters most to us is the person. We're looking for someone who is: • Eager to learn and genuinely interested in developing a new skill, • A quick learner who pays attention during training, • Agile and energetic in a fast-moving production environment, • Reliable and punctual, • Detail-oriented and careful with their work, • Comfortable working with their hands, • Able to follow instructions and take direction from managers and experienced operators, • Able to work well with coworkers and contribute to a positive team environment, • Organized and able to keep track of multiple garments and orders, • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods, • Able to stay focused when the shop gets busy, • Open to feedback and willing to correct mistakes, • Someone who takes pride in doing things correctly — even when nobody is watching Spanish-speaking is required. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants to learn, wants to work, and wants an opportunity to grow. Where This Can Take You This doesn't have to be "just another job." Embroidery is a real production skill, and we're willing to teach it to someone who is willing to put in the work. As you gain experience, you can grow from: Embroidery Production Assistant → Embroidery Operator → Lead Operator → Embroidery Supervisor We believe in developing people from within our team and giving more responsibility to those who earn it. Perks & Benefits • Competitive starting pay, • No previous embroidery experience required, • Hands-on training from experienced embroidery professionals, • Part-time and full-time opportunities, • Opportunity to learn a specialized production skill, • 401(k) retirement plan with company match (after 1 year with the company), • Paid vacation, sick days, and holiday pay (after 1 year with the company), • Team-building events and activities, • Exclusive Miami Mixed Media merch and gear, • A fun, creative, collaborative, and pet-friendly workplace with our shop dogs Cha Cha & Pelusa around to keep things interesting! Why Join Us?
