Business Operations & Development Intern Invite Only Studios (Chelsea, NYC) Hybrid (On-Site + Remote) Invite Only Studios is a world-class recording facility and creative hub in Chelsea, NYC, home to leading artists, producers, writers, and creative teams. We also operate Crash Dummies Productions (music & creative services) and the School of IO, our music and audio education program. We are seeking a Business Operations & Development Intern to support internal studio administration and assist in the growth of our client, partner, and student networks. This is a hands-on role designed for someone interested in music business, creative operations, entrepreneurship, and relationship-building within the industry. Responsibilities Operations / Administration • Assist with studio scheduling, session coordination, and day-to-day workflows, • Maintain CRM + contact databases (labels, artists, educators, clients, students), • Support class operations for the School of IO (rosters, communication, scheduling), • Participate in internal planning, project tracking, and documentation Business Development / Outreach • Assist in outreach to artists, labels, music supervisors, creative partners, and schools, • Help identify and research potential new clients, partners, and collaborators, • Draft outreach messages, follow-ups, and relationship touchpoints, • Support development of proposals, decks, and partnership one-sheets, • Learn how to track lead pipelines, convert inquiries, and grow creative networks You will be coached through outreach — you are not expected to “sell” alone. This is structured learning in professional communication and deal flow. What You’ll Learn / Gain • How a major recording studio, production team, and creative education program operate, • Professional communication, outreach strategy, and client relationship management, • Real experience with CRM systems, scheduling tools, project coordination, and pipeline tracking, • Exposure to producers, artists, music supervisors, educators, and partners, • Mentorship in professional growth, creative industry etiquette, and career direction This internship prioritizes learning, mentorship, and real operational experience, not errands or busywork. Who You Are • Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Comfortable with outreach and building relationships (or excited to learn), • Interested in music, education, studio culture, or creative business, • Able to dedicate 10–15 hours/week (hybrid schedule; some in-studio time) Compensation This internship is unpaid and can be taken for academic credit where available. We provide any university documentation needed for credit approval.
