Job Description Job Title: Porter Overview We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Porter to support daily operations within a pharmaceutical facility. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant environment through janitorial services and basic facility maintenance. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, follows procedures closely, and thrives in a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities • Perform daily cleaning and floor care tasks, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing, • Operate, maintain, and properly store cleaning equipment and supplies, • Support general facility upkeep and assist with basic maintenance needs, • Conduct routine inspections of work areas and equipment to ensure cleanliness and functionality, • Assist with snow removal and maintain safe conditions around the facility, • Follow all SOPs, GMP guidelines, and safety protocols, • Complete required cleaning logs, inspections, and documentation accurately, • Communicate maintenance or safety concerns promptly to management, • Support additional operational tasks as needed Qualifications • 1–3 years of janitorial, porter, or facility maintenance experience (pharmaceutical or GMP environment preferred), • Familiarity with cleaning equipment, tools, and standard procedures, • Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions and SOPs, • Basic mechanical aptitude; exposure to electrical, plumbing, or piping systems is a plus, • Experience working in cleanroom or regulated environments preferred, • Strong attention to detail and reliability in completing assigned tasks, • Team-oriented with good communication skills Requirements • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders as needed, • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift, • Willingness to work in a GMP-regulated environment, including use of PPE and respirators when required Work Environment • Full-time, onsite role (6:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.), • Active, hands-on position within a regulated pharmaceutical facility Why Join Us • Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, • 401(k) with employer contribution, • 13 paid company holidays, • Stable, team-oriented environment with opportunities for growth Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Port Washington, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
