Job DescriptionDescription: Job Type - Full-Time Payrate: $20-$25/HR Shift: 1st/2nd, Floater Grower Direct Nut Company is looking for qualified candidates for the Facilities Maintenance Technician position. Responsibilities include performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment. The duties include fixing machinery, plumbing, painting, heating and wiring, inspecting buildings to confirm safety standards and scheduling major repairs with the building’s inhabitants. Qualified candidates will be expected to monitor equipment performance for optimal effectiveness, be able to assess equipment failure analysis mode, and take corrective action for both preventive and unscheduled maintenance tasks to enhance equipment performance and reliability. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Perform general facility maintenance tasks including light fabrication, chill water plumbing, fans, high speed doors, security fencing, lighting, and structural repairs to ensure a safe and functional work environment., • Painting areas such as offices, hallways, parking lots, sidewalks and piping., • Overseeing essential assets including HVAC refrigeration systems, chillers, drains/sumps, ductwork, plumbing systems, air compressors, machinery, electrical and lighting systems., • Ensuring cleanliness and functionality of building facilities., • Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, window, door or wall repairs., • Responding to work orders, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, or installing various vital infrastructure systems., • Inspecting, testing, and repairing systems such as plumbing, electrical, heating, and air conditioning., • Schedule and conduct inspections to ensure the facility equipment is operating efficiently and safely., • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Cal OSHA safety standards and are in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations., • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts inventory, labor manhours, and equipment logs. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities are not limited to the above mentioned and may include assisting other departments within reasonable and related tasks. Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS 1. Demonstrated construction skills such as carpentry, painting, masonry, plumbing, roofing and welding are preferred., 2. Experience with electrical wiring to manage problems with the building’s low voltage electricity and distribution system., 3. Groundskeeping of outdoor areas in need of maintenance., 4. Strong leadership and communication skills both verbal and written., 5. Safety awareness and enforcement of all local, state and federal regulations., 6. Strong problem solving and priority setting skills – able to work with minimal or no supervision., 7. Must have a valid CA driver license without restrictions. Physical Demands • Generally, works in a plant environment but will be required to perform some job duties inside a typical office setting., • While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic., • May be exposed to a wide range of temperatures based on the outside temperatures., • The noise level is frequently loud., • Must have the ability to carry up to fifty (50) pounds on occasion and regularly stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. This position may also require climbing or balancing., • Ability to work with ladders, boom lifts, scissor lifts or man baskets. Work Environment · Exposure to moving mechanical parts. · May work in wet, humid, or outdoor conditions. · Possible exposure to heights, fumes, airborne particles, and vibration. · May encounter extreme temperatures (non-weather related). · Risk of electrical shock in certain areas.
