Job DescriptionSalary: $18 per Hour Job Summary: The Housekeeper is responsible for the cleanliness of the residents rooms, bathrooms and common areas of the building. This allows for a safe, sanitary and visually pleasing place to reside. The Housekeeper reports to the Wellness Coordinator. Duties & Responsibilities: Clean Residents Rooms: • Sweep, vacuum, and mop., • Clean baseboards, dust tabletops, dust dcor, and clean window ledges., • Pick up and throw away trash, and sanitize handles, remotes and switches., • Clean toilets, clean sink, mirrors and showers., • Sweep and mop floors., • Empty trash and place extra bags in bin., • Refill soap dispenser and ensure two extra rolls of toilet paper are available., • Ensure clean body towels, hand towels, and wash cloths are available., • Vacuum stairs, living room and activity room rugs., • Ensure common outdoor areas are clean and usable, sweeping front entrances and sidewalks weekly., • Dust/wash outdoor furniture and dcor., • Clean toilets, clean sink, mirrors and showers., • Sweep, mop floors., • Empty trash and place extra bags in bin., • Refill soap dispenser and hand sanitizer and refill wipes., • Maintain an organized and clean pantry., • Ensure all kitchen appliances are cleaned, performing a deep clean on a monthly basis., • Ensure cleaning supplies are properly put away and locked. Never leave your cleaning cart unattended to ensure resident safety., • Immediately report any unsafe situation regarding a resident or condition of equipment to your Wellness Coordinator., • Communicate any resident concerns or needs to Care Staff., • Wash and dry laundry., • Perform other duties as assigned for the operation of the company or resident need and safety. Required Experience, Education, & Skills: • To be able to stand for extended periods of time, bend, climb stairs, reach & grasp, • Knowledge of English language: able to read, write, and converse, • Working quickly without compromising quality, • Must be reliable, responsible, timely, efficient, well-organized, and have a strong attention to detail, • Be able to respond to radios as needed, • Able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations Physical Requirements: Housekeepers will routinely be required to stoop, carry, bend, squat, kneel, crouch, climb, grip, reach, push, and pull. Housekeepers will also occasionally be required to lift overhead, waist high or floor level. The maximum lift will not be over fifty (50) pounds. Housekeepers will also be required to use fine motor and manual dexterity skills in writing and grasping.
