We are looking for a skilled Senior Manager Engineering to join our team in Santa Maria. This is an on-site position based in Santa Maria. JOB SUMMARY The Senior Manager Engineering is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing engineering to meet company objectives for design, new product development and improvement of existing product lines by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES - Essential Functions (Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested.) Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs that align with organizational objectives., • Establish direction for engineering research and development proposals, including objectives, applications, costs, and resource requirements., • Oversee key projects, processes, and performance metrics, including documentation systems and data analysis., • Lead engineering design reviews to ensure solutions meet business, customer, and certification requirements., • Select appropriate design concepts and core technologies for new products and improvements to existing ones., • Manage project performance to ensure adherence to budget, quality standards, and schedule., • Implement and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track engineering effectiveness., • Coordinate with manufacturing, operations, and quality teams to drive process improvements and product development., • Review operations and planning activities to support sales initiatives and identify new market opportunities., • Review and analyze proposals submitted to determine if benefits derived and possible applications justify expenditures., • Develop methods and procedures for monitoring project progress, including tracking expenditures and reporting findings., • Ensure timely release of engineering drawings to support production operations., • Maintain team staffing by recruiting, selecting, onboarding, and developing engineering talent., • Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards., • Maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment, adhering to all Company policies and procedures., • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Elevate Aircraft Seating offers competitive wages and benefits to recognize employees for their work. The base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.
