Learn more at You'll Do: We are looking for a customer-value focused Engineering Manager to lead the evolution of CoreWeave AI Object Storage's (CAIOS) security posture as we serve workloads within compute clusters, between datacenters, and even across clouds. You will lead the development of CAIOS' authentication, authorization, key management, and encryption functions. You will work across engineering and infrastructure teams to protect CoreWeave's customers at our edge and the world's most demanding AI workloads at our core. You will help guide the future of CoreWeave's storage platform by building cloud scale systems that deliver secure, reliable, and segment-leading storage solutions. About the role: • Build a world class engineering team by hiring and developing the best talent in the industry., • Have curiosity and hunger to solve very hard system level problems in order to run the world's most demanding and advanced AI workloads., • Lead the development of CAIOS' authentication, authorization, key management, and encryption functions., • Contribute to the development of exabyte-scale, S3-compatible object storage optimized for inference and training workloads in diverse customer environments, • Work with technologies such as RDMA, GPU Direct Storage, SPDK, and distributed filesystem protocols to optimize storage performance and efficiency., • Participate in efforts to improve the reliability and observability of our storage stack., • Help develop metrics and dashboards to provide visibility into storage performance and health., • Analyze telemetry and system data to drive improvements in throughput, latency, and resilience., • Work cross-functionally with platform, product, and infrastructure teams to deliver seamless storage capabilities across the stack. Who You Are: • 3+ years of experience managing or leading technical teams; 5+ years of hands-on software or infrastructure engineering, 3+ years of security engineering experience., • Expertise in storage technologies such as Ceph, Lustre, MinIO, GPUDirect Storage, or similar distributed/cloud storage systems., • Experience with authentication, authorization, key management, encryption at rest and in flight., • Expertise in observability systems for metrics, logs, and tracing, • Experience working on publicly accessible web services at scale., • Strong understanding of performance tuning, fault tolerance, and change management., • Experience working in high-scale, low-latency environments (preferably in cloud, HPC, or AI/ML infrastructure contexts)., • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and leadership teams., • Be Curious at Your Core, • Act Like an Owner, • Empower Employees, • Deliver Best-in-Class Client Experiences The base salary range for this role is $165,000 to $242,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).
