Much more online at:___ Position Summary: The Outpatient Program Therapist performs social services functions that willassistpatients in meeting their bio-psychosocial needs while allowing them to achieve through therapeutic treatment theiroptimallevel of emotional health. Program therapists provide basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized social work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term family therapy, and provide information and referrals as needed. *This is a Full-Time position. Experience: A minimum of two (2) years experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills preferred; must have strong clinical assessment skills, preferred. License: Outpatient Program Therapist possesses a state license in their discipline. (LSW/LCSW/LAC/LPC/LCADC). Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities: 1. Formulate and conduct educational, therapeutic, and/or support groups., 2. Communicate effectively with patients, families, health care teammembersand community providersregardingpatient status and progress., 3. Interact and communicate with community agencies in assessment of and service to patients., 4. Provide liaison and referral services to community agencies andappearsin court when requested or subpoenaed., 5. Maintain confidentiality in compliance with professional ethics according to professional and facility standards., 6. Identifyopportunities for the program andparticipatein Performance Improvement projects and activities., 7. Assistin the orientation of new colleagues and supervising student interns., 8. Conductutilizationreview activities asrequired., 9. Conduct individual/couples/family counseling whenindicated., 10. Develop andfacilitategroups for patients and/or significant others asappropriate., 11. Ensure the Treatment Plan has specific measurable goals,objectivesand interventions defining actions unique to each patient's needs., 12. Provide opportunities forpatientand families to questions, discuss and explore their feelings about prescribed therapies/interventions/diagnosis., 13. Maintain knowledge of the Child Program rules, protocols and handbooks guidelines., 14. Maintain knowledge of children's stages of development and seek guidance from the nurse in charge when questions about the norms for behavior related to child development arise., 15. Assess patients for behaviors consistent with the developmental stages and make note of any deviations in behavior., 16. Relate to child patients in anage appropriatemanner., 17.
