Program Overview The Cornerstone Case Management Expansion will include additional services to Cornerstone Community Centers. This expansion consists of a case-management approach which incorporates a Social Worker, a Navigator, and the development of Peer Support Leaders into assigned Cornerstone Community Centers. The Social Worker and Navigator will create connections to other City agencies and providers and act as “expediters” for resources such as health, mental health, employment training, housing, food, etc., to help youth Participants (ages14-21) with issues identified in their Individual Service Plans. Job Description Summary Job Description: The Family Enrichment Center (FEC) Director is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Family Enrichment Center, funded by the New York City Administration for Children Services (ACS). FECs represent one of ACS’ approaches to supporting child and family well-being and strong communities. The Director embodies and creates a culture of openness, creativity and flexibility, is a true partner and servant leader in the community and committed to social justice. Responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, and supporting a diverse staff in a collaborative work environment, building partnerships with stakeholders from multiple sectors to support the FEC, and building an FEC Advisory Council/Board to guide the vision, decision-making and programming of the FEC. The Director will also ensure the FEC is run with fidelity to the model, serve as a liaison to ACS , implement co-design and co-implementation strategies. BJI seeks Night Clinical Intake Specialists for the borough’s Supervised Release Program (SRP). Reporting to the Night Clinical Intake Coordinator, Clinical Intake Specialists will leverage social work or mental health training and direct practice experience to facilitate participants’ successful transition into SRP. Clinical Intake Specialists will conduct a comprehensive needs assessment; connect participants with an appropriate case manager, focusing on participant needs and individual case manager skills and strengths; generate mandatory programming recommendations, and refer candidates to services with community-based service providers. Additionally, this position will provide de-escalation and emergency intervention within the courthouse, as needed. Main Office/Administrative * Greet all visitors and control access to the school consistent with policies and procedures. * Set the tone for the school's warm and professional culture. * Consistent with customer-service orientation, act as the first point of contact for questions, allowing fewer interruptions to the school administration and instructional teams. * Support answering phone calls, taking messages, placing outgoing calls, making public address announcements, and sending robocalls. * Ensure the school's main office environment is at all times clean, neat, organized, and orderly. * Ensure scholars leave only with authorized parents or guardians, consistent with policies and procedures. * Ensure memos, notices, and other school-specific documents are delivered, collected from classrooms, and processed daily. * Assist the school nurse with the handling of sick scholars, as needed. * Record and track uniform violations. Student Records and Database * Support collecting and maintaining forms and other records, securing missing forms, and ensuring the confidentiality of all scholar records. * Support using the SIS and other systems (PowerSchool, SchoolMint, state systems) to maintain and update all scholar contact/demographic information. Student Attendance * Support reconciling scholar attendance daily in the school's student information system (SIS). * Support the production of accurate and timely student attendance reports. * Support the process of late scholar arrivals and follow up with families of absent scholars. Other * Assist with other operations projects, as needed. * Ensure the safety of scholars under one’s supervision. * Assist with non-instructional supervision of students, as needed, such as hallway monitoring, lunch duty, or supervision of extracurricular activities. * Assist in moving students to proper locations during fire drills, and sports or arts programs. * Promptly submit required paperwork. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree * 1-2 years working experience in a customer service or admissions field * Fluency in Spanish preferred * Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to organize and prioritize work * Strong attention to detail * Experience with admissions software or database ideal Compensation This position has a twelve-month work year and is a full-time non-exempt position that requires travel and evenings and weekends.
