Job DescriptionCommercial HVAC Service TechnicianJoin a Growing Commercial HVAC & Refrigeration Team We're seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems throughout the Capital Region. Responsibilities • Install, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including rooftop units, boilers, walk-in coolers/freezers, and refrigeration systems., • Perform preventive maintenance inspections to ensure safe and efficient system operation., • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, gas, and refrigeration issues using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment., • Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals., • Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs, recommendations, and maintenance needs., • Complete work orders, service documentation, and required reports accurately and on time., • Follow all OSHA, lockout/tagout, safety, and environmental regulations., • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergency service requests when required.Qualifications, • 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience., • EPA Universal Certification and OSHA 10 Certification., • Strong troubleshooting skills in HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems., • Experience servicing rooftop units, commercial refrigeration equipment, and walk-in coolers., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision., • Valid driver's license and clean driving record., • Excellent customer service and communication skills.Preferred, • HVAC trade school or technical training., • Experience with boilers, sheet metal, and commercial air conditioning systems., • Manufacturer training/certifications (Amana, Lennox, etc.)., • Experience in hospitals, schools, supermarkets, industrial facilities, or large commercial buildings.What We Offer, • Competitive pay based on experience., • Health insurance and 401(k) with company match., • Company-provided service vehicle., • Paid time off and holidays., • Ongoing training and advancement opportunities., • Stable, year-round work with a respected local company.Schedule & Environment, • Monday–Friday, primarily 7:00 AM–3:30 PM., • Overtime opportunities available (10–20 hours weekly)., • On-call rotation averaging 3–4 days per month., • Work at commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, schools, retail locations, multi-family properties, and industrial sites. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albany, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
