Reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and scalability of our financial operations. You’ll lead core accounting processes including month-end close, financial reporting, and revenue management - turning complexity into clarity as the business grows. If you’re a detail-driven accountant who thrives in fast-moving environments and takes pride in building clean, reliable financial systems, this role is for you!Who You Are: • A detail-oriented, analytical accountant with a strong foundation in close, reporting, and revenue accounting, • Process-driven and energized by building scalable, repeatable accounting systems, • Proactive and solutions-oriented, with a mindset for continuous improvement, • Comfortable managing complexity while maintaining accuracy and consistency, • A clear communicator who partners effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership, • Motivated by using financial insight to support informed business decisionsWhat You'll Do:, • Support the month-end close process under the direction of the Controller, preparing monthly reconciliations and financial reports in accordance with established timelines, • Lead the calculation, analysis, and reporting of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) across all product lines (merchandise and retail), including detailed variance analysis to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities, • Support inventory valuation and reconciliation to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance, • Monitor and analyze COGS performance, including oversight of sample spend, to ensure visibility into cost drivers, • Prepare financial reports and analyses focused on budgets, trends, and variances, providing real-time visibility for budget owners and enabling proactive decision-making, • Manage budget-to-actual reporting for retail and marketing, identifying risks, variances, and areas of opportunity, • Analyze and report on Accounts Receivable performance, including Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), to support cash flow optimization and working capital management, • Support accounts receivable reconciliation and collection efforts to ensure accuracy and timely receipt, • Partner with internal and external auditors during the annual audit cycle, providing documentation and support to ensure a smooth audit processMust Haves:, • 21 years of age or older at the time of application, • Based in Southern, CA or Austin, TX (we're open to remote for the right person!), • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent relevant professional experience, • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, • Hands-on experience with month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting, • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and standard accounting principles, • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivots, lookups, reconciliation support), • Experience working with an accounting system or ERPNice to Haves:, • Experience with revenue recognition and revenue-related reconciliations, • Experience building financial reports and analyses to support business decision-making, • Ability to translate complex financial information for non-finance stakeholders, • Exposure to financial modeling, forecasting, or budget analysis, • Experience with corporate credit card programs and expense management tools, • CPA or progress toward CPA or other relevant professional certification, • Experience in high-growth, multi-entity, or consumer-facing businessesCompensation, Benefits + Perks:, • Compensation:, • $80,000 - $90,000, per year, • The final offer will be based on several factors, including experience, skills, overall expertise and location, • Perks + Benefits:, • Unlimited Paid Time Off, • Healthcare coverage: up to 90% company contribution for employees and 25% for dependents, • Voluntary vision, dental, and accidental plans401(k) with up to 4% company match, • 12 weeks of paid Equal Parental Leave, $500 Baby Bonding Bucks, and a sustainable baby gift, • Booch, spirit, beer, and soft good perks This role supports multiple beverage brands within the JuneShine Brands portfolio, including alcohol and hemp-derived THC beverages.All Juneshine Brands products are intended for adults 21+. ©2025 Juneshine Brands\u007C \u007C \u007C \u007C Please enjoy responsibly.
