Summary The Master Data Manager is responsible for leading the governance, intake, and lifecycle processes for critical master data domains including Customer Master, Vendor Master, Item Master, and other core foundational data sets. This role ensures the integrity and consistency of data across core systems such as Dynamics 365, Salesforce, Power BI, High Radius, and other business solutions, whether integrated or manually maintained. The Master Data Manager also plays a key role in shaping and enforcing the business processes that govern how data is created, maintained, and consumed across reporting and operational platforms. This includes partnering with Sales, Estimating, and Production functions to support production inputs to Bill of Materials (BOMs), routings, and other production-critical data, without owning their setup. This is a hybrid role, sitting in our offices in Plano, TX. Duties and Responsibilities ERP Implementation (near-term, go-live support) • Play a hands-on role in designing, cleansing, validating, and migrating master data (Customer, Vendor, Item, Product Catalog) as the manufacturing division prepares for go-live., • Partner with IT, project leads, and business functions to test, resolve issues, and enforce standards during system setup and cutover., • Serve as the primary escalation point for data quality and governance issues., • Lead cleanup and alignment efforts for item catalog, BOMs, routings, and production-critical data., • Develop reference documentation and standardized workflows to ensure repeatability, audit compliance, and alignment across regions., • Manage the lifecycle and standards for Customer, Vendor, Item, and Product Catalog data., • Oversee ongoing intake, review, and validation of new data requests., • Strengthen catalog governance by enforcing standards, ensuring consistent compliance, and supporting reporting/analytics accuracy., • Lead global coordination with offshore teams, ensuring alignment and adherence to governance practices., • Act as the point of contact and escalation for offshore Master Data team., • Support knowledge transfer and skills development for junior team members and cross-functional stakeholders., • Ensure global data entry resources follow documented standards and governance practices., • Lead and establish documentation practices for Master Data., • Build strong relationships with Master Data and Product Catalog leads and SMEs across all divisions to ensure alignment and shared ownership of data standards. Qualifications & Requirements Experience • 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Master Data Management (MDM), Data Governance, or Enterprise Data Operations., • Hands-on ERP implementation experience strongly preferred, particularly in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or similar platforms., • Experience supporting or governing master data in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce, Power BI, or similar systems., • Prior involvement in process design, data lifecycle management, or system integration between operational and reporting platforms., • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Business Administration, related field, or equivalent proven experience., • Strong understanding of ERP data structures, especially within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or similar platforms., • Familiarity with Salesforce, HighRadius, and SuccessFactors, especially as they relate to master data flow and reporting., • Comfortable with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) and documentation tools (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence)., • Team-oriented and collaborative, with a genuine desire to work cross-functionally and contribute to shared goals., • Service-minded, with a proactive, can-do attitude and a focus on being helpful, approachable, and solution-oriented., • Brings positive energy and professionalism to daily interactions and builds strong, trusting relationships across departments and levels., • Thinks like a leader — shows initiative, takes ownership, and demonstrates the judgment, communication, and balance needed to eventually step into higher-level responsibilities., • Enjoys manageable challenges and brings curiosity, flexibility, and composure to evolving priorities and problem-solving., • Strong communicator, able to clearly convey data issues, process expectations, and governance rationale to both technical and business stakeholders., • Analytical and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to data quality and process improvement., • Comfortable in a dynamic environment and able to adapt to changing business needs without losing sight of long-term goals.
