Responsibilities: • Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical histories., • Assist healthcare providers, including nurse practitioners, during medical procedures and examinations., • Perform phlebotomy and draw blood samples following proper protocols and safety standards., • Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing and ensure timely delivery., • Sterilize medical instruments and maintain a clean clinical environment to prevent infection., • Answer phones, schedule patient appointments, and manage front desk administrative duties., • Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health records as needed., • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies regarding patient confidentiality and safety. Minimum Qualifications: • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program., • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred., • Proficiency in phlebotomy and specimen collection techniques., • Basic knowledge of medical instruments and sterilization procedures., • Experience working alongside nurse practitioners or in a similar clinical setting., • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical office software., • Additional certifications such as CPR or First Aid., • Bilingual abilities to assist a diverse patient population., • Prior experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
