Job DescriptionPRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE: The Shift/Safety Supervisor is directly responsible for the management and supervision of the Safety Monitors on duty on their assigned shift for our Park Overlook location in Bronx, NY. Monitors all activities to ensure safety in the physical plant and civility amongst clients, visitors and staff. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Supervises Safety Monitors and ensures all safety and security duties are performed as per agency protocol., • Conducts fire drills and documents results., • Responds to incidents and follows DHS and agency protocols in responding to and documenting incidents., • Reports incidents of Child Abuse to the state Central Registry., • Interacts with HERO and provides updates on unit vacancies and occupancies. WSFSSH currently owns and operates nearly 2,400 units in 29 buildings located in Manhattan and the Bronx. The Claremont is a model housing program and is located in the Claremont neighborhood of the Bronx. It has 90 supportive housing units for persons who are 50 and older most of whom have experienced homelessness, have a serious mental illness and/or substance use disorder.. In addition, there are 24 units of affordable family housing. Job Description: Under the supervision of the Managing Director of Congregate Care, the Claremont Director provides leadership and is responsible for establishing and maintaining a supportive housing community. The Director works closely and collaboratively with the Claremont Clinical Coordinator/Associate Director to assure that staff is supported and resident needs are met. In addition, the Licensed Social Worker will work with high-need families and in particular family members struggling with taking actions to secure next step housing, pursuing vocational/educational opportunities, domestic violence, parenting, accessing entitlements, medical and mental health needs. The CCC will work from a Trauma Informed Lens, using Motivational Interviewing techniques based on Harm reduction Principles. In addition, the CCC will do crisis intervention as needed and refer clients to the Housing Specialist for next-step housing needs and coordinate care with all other staff within the facility and other providers. The CCC will also provide short term counseling to individuals and families. They will facilitate groups and workshops and will Co-facilitate Staff trainings. They will guide the social service team in clinically informed interventions for individuals and families. The CCC will be responsible for ensuring compliance with contract services requirements, maintain regular contact with families, and ensure client and collaterals are active in program activities. The CCC will be supervised by an LCSW and will earn hours towards their LCSW.
