Job Description Job Summary The dedicated and collaborative Shift Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment which fosters growth and facilitates the development of mutual aid/self-help skills with the people we support. The ideal candidate will supervise staff and provide the appropriate supports tailored to the needs and desires of each person being supported to enable them to live as independently as possible. The Shift Supervisor is expected to recognize when an individual is in a crisis and be able to utilize the appropriate psychiatric and medical back up services. Our Day Habilitation program is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) to support its Day program at our Melville location. This rewarding position is part of the OPWDD regulations for QSAC Day programs.
