Assess Work Sites Remodelers assess work sites where remodeling work is desired, and determine what needs to be done to complete the requested remodel work. Perform Carpentry Work Remodelers perform various carpentry tasks that include installing cabinets, hanging doors, and framing rooms. Job Description Job Title: Painter Location: Jersey City, NJ Job Summary of the Painter We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our maintenance team at a luxury apartment community in Jersey City, NJ. This role is responsible for maintaining the appearance and condition of common areas and residential units through high-quality painting, surface preparation, and cosmetic repairs. In addition to painting responsibilities, the Painter will assist with general common-area upkeep tasks such as light fixture cleaning, replacing ceiling tiles, minor repairs, and exterior maintenance projects. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and maintains a clean and organized workspace. This position follows a Monday–Friday schedule. Key Responsibilities of the Painter Painting & Surface Preparation * Perform painting, patching, and touch-ups in common areas including hallways, lobbies, amenity spaces, and other shared areas. * Complete interior painting in residential units as needed. * Properly prepare surfaces for painting, including spackling, sanding, priming, caulking, masking, and taping. * Use appropriate techniques to ensure clean, professional finishes. * Protect surrounding surfaces using drop cloths and coverings and ensure all paint is properly cleaned from floors and adjacent surfaces. Exterior Painting & Property Upkeep * Perform exterior painting projects including stairs, handrails, doors, and other building components. * Assist with pressure washing and other exterior maintenance tasks as needed. Workspace Organization & Safety * Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. * Properly store tools, equipment, and materials after use.
