Job DescriptionJob Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician Job Description The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for delivering effective, efficient, and timely services to multiple customers within an assigned geographic territory. The role involves traveling to various customer sites to maintain commercial properties, using a company-provided vehicle and tools. The technician performs preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and general service of buildings, equipment, and grounds, while ensuring high work standards and professionalism. Responsibilities • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs as per work order requirements., • Conduct minor plumbing maintenance, including repairing and unclogging toilets, urinals, and maintaining valve assemblies, toilets, faucet fixtures, and sensors for automatic flush kits., • Engage in routine painting, carpentry work, and general maintenance to keep facilities in like-new condition., • Repair and maintain walls, floors, doors, and perform necessary painting and touch-up work for facility beautification., • Carry out minor electrical maintenance within state law requirements, including repairing or replacing fixtures, wall switches, outlets, and light bulbs., • Complete service inspections and asset inspections as needed., • Utilize technology such as tablets and smartphones to access and complete work orders, submit service reports, timesheets, and expense reports., • Maintain timely and consistent communication with customers and internal support teams., • Provide estimates for larger projects and services needed to onsite customers., • Complete other duties as assigned or required.Essential Skills, • Proficiency in plumbing, facilities maintenance, HVAC, painting, and drywall repair., • Ability to perform basic building repair and preventive maintenance., • Strong understanding of commercial facilities maintenance.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • High school diploma or degree/certification, or equivalent professional experience in landscaping, trades (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.), or specialty floor care preferred., • Experience with handheld devices and business systems or document management software, including Microsoft Office., • Knowledge of applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency directives, and company standards related to building operations and work safety.Why Work Here? Work Environment Candidates will receive a company vehicle and their own set of tools, traveling to various sites such as banks, retail stores, and commercial buildings in the Milpitas East Bay area. The shift is from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, and involves running solo after training, reporting to the regional manager. The workday starts from the residence to job site and back. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
