Our address is located inside the Barclay Farm neighborhood at 315 Whitemarsh Way, Cherry Hill, New Jersey 08034. Barclay Farm Swim Club is a seasonal outdoor swimming facility that boasts a high dive, a 12ft Well deep end, lap lanes, baby pool (not the responsibility of the lifeguards), snack bar, courts for playing and plenty of grass for running. Guards need to be comfortable supervising children and adults in water 4ft to 12ft, as well as supervising the surrounding pool deck. While it is the responsibility of the lifeguard to supervise the safety of the campers near and in the water, the campers are also supervised by camp counselors. RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise swimming activities and ensure that policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed. Warn swimmers of improper activities or behavior. Administer basic First Aid, CPR and/ or rescues in the event of injury, distress or danger of drowning. Evaluate conditions and initiate aquatic emergency action plan as needed. Inspect pool area, equipment and rescue apparatus to ensure that they are safe and usable. Empty skimmer baskets, vacuum pool and skim pool surface.
