Talent Buyer – Nederlander Concerts Los Angeles Office Nederlander Concerts is an independent entertainment company that has been bringing unforgettable shows to audiences since 1972. A division of the century-old Nederlander Organization, we specialize in promoting high-quality artists across mid-sized and major venues throughout California and beyond, programming events of all sizes across 40+ venues annually. Key venues include the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, Hollywood Pantages Theatre, Vina Robles Amphitheatre, San Jose Civic, HEB Center, and the upcoming West Harbor Amphitheatre on the San Pedro waterfront (opening 2027). We are seeking an experienced Talent Buyer to join our Los Angeles-based team. POSITION SUMMARY Nederlander is seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Talent Buyer to lead all aspects of music booking, from offer generation and deal negotiations to contracts, budgets, and cross-departmental coordination. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in concert promotion or music booking, an established network of agents and managers, and a strong command of deal structure and show finances across a range of venue sizes. This role works closely with marketing, ticketing, production, and operations teams to deliver exceptional events from offer to load-out. Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday – Friday, in Office 10am-6:00pm + show nights Reports To: CEO of Nederlander Concerts LLC Compensation: $130,000-$165,000, depending on experience KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Source, pitch, and book artists across genres that align with each venue’s capacity, market, and audience, • Negotiate deal terms, fees, and performance contracts with artists’ agents, managers, and representatives, • Coordinate with marketing, ticketing, production, and operations teams on routing, on-sale dates, and venue logistics across Nederlander’s 40+ annual venues, • Maintain an active network of agents, managers, and promoters; monitor touring trends and market data to identify emerging artists and programming opportunities, • Support marketing, PR, and on-sale strategies for booked shows; serve as the primary liaison between artists’ teams, venue partners, and internal staff, • Build and oversee show budgets, including offers, guarantees, ticket scaling, and expense projections; manage holds, routing conflicts, and post-show settlements, • Additional responsibilities as needed Qualifications and Skills • Minimum 5 years of experience in concert promotion, music booking, or talent buying, preferably with a promoter, booking agency, or venue group, • Deep knowledge of the live music touring landscape, including routing logic, deal structures (vs. door, guarantees, co-promotes), and regional market dynamics across California and the Western U.S., • ·Proven track record of successfully booking and executing concerts across a range of venue sizes, from clubs and theaters to amphitheatres and arenas, • Established relationships with booking agents, artist managers, and national touring representatives across multiple genres including rock, pop, country, hip-hop, and Latin, • Bachelor's degree in event management, marketing, or a related field a plus, • Collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset with a genuine passion for live music and delivering first-class experiences, • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends, • Financial acumen with experience building show budgets, ticket scaling, and managing settlement processes; proficiency in MS Office required, • Must be willing to travel to work during evening, weekend hours and travel to events, as required BENEFITS: Company provided Medical, Dental, Vision, Life/AD&D, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance, additional optional Life/AD&D, Critical Illness, Hospital Insurance and Accident Insurance, plus Flexible Spending Plan, and the Nederlander 401k Plan.
