Job Description Title: Senior Program Manager, Rebound (Barclays) Reports To: SENIOR PROGRAM DIRECTOR, BARCLAYS PROGRAMS Location: 876 Schenck Avenue, Room 206, Brooklyn NY 11207 Hours: 35 Hours/Week; Exempt Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 / year Job Summary: Good Shepherd Services, in partnership with Barclays established Rebound a Basketball-themed employability program for underserved youth in Brooklyn, New York Rebound serves young people ages 17 to 24 providing job readiness and career exploration workshops, as well as one on one career counseling sessions. Rebound partners with local businesses in neighboring areas to create employment opportunities for the participants. Rebound Elevate is an extension of the Rebound program with a focus on supporting young adults ages 18-26 with advancing in careers in Sports Management. The Senior Program Manager is responsible for the successful implementation of programming, providing quality supervision and support to all staff at Rebound/Rebound Elevate sites. The Senior Program Manager builds partnerships and relationships with businesses, funders and local community organizations to create employment opportunities and pathways of recruitment for participants and expand the services and resources of the program. Major Duties: • Manage overall administration and supervision of Rebound and Rebound Elevate program extension and assume overall leadership of a team of 3 or more personnel., • Develop and implement Rebound Elevate program extension, including partnership development, location, curriculum, and staffing., • Providing leadership of programming servicing a population of 100+ participants., • Create and manage program schedules, determine start and end dates for cohorts, and initiate timelines for recruitment activities, as well as for other program-related events such as graduations, trainings and guest speakers;, • Participate in hiring and onboarding. training, evaluating and terminating program staff., • Assess and identify service training needs of program staff refer to appropriate trainings and provide coaching for professional development., • Foster team building through staff meetings, workshops and activities., • Supervision of team and implementation of weekly/ bi-weekly individual supervision meetings for Internship Career Coordinators Coaches., • Develop curriculum that supports participants in strengthening their fundamental life and job readiness skills., • Conduct recruitment of participants, develop recruitment strategies to be implemented by the entire team, including hosting and attending info sessions and recruitment events internally and externally., • Enroll program participants, including the use of Salesforce database and all onboarding paperwork and activities, such as entering interns into GSS recruitment platform, ICIMS., • Complete assigned funding reports, gathering statistical, narrative, program activity and outcomes information. Perform statistical, narrative, and record keeping duties as required., • Work in collaboration with Sr. Program Director, GSS support team and fiscal sponsorship., • Meet regularly with Senior Program Director to ensure overall effectiveness, integration, and integrity of the program. Participate with Sr. Program Director in periodic assessment of overall program for program planning and development., • Oversee purchasing, maintain petty cash account and MetroCard distribution; maintain gift card logs and distribution track program spending;, • Convene, chair, and attend meetings as appropriate., • Participate in GSS work readiness/vocational meetings, workgroups and committees., • Manage payroll for Rebound staff, • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or 3+ years of experience developing employment opportunities for youth and/or young adults required, Master's degree a plus., • At least two years of program leadership experience required., • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to maintain required documentation., • Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based, youth development and family development and trauma-informed perspective., • Experience working with young adults who are disengaged and/or justice involved, • Strong leadership and organizational skills required., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required., • Ability to work with diverse staff and participants required., • Ability to network and build partnerships with various stakeholders including community and school partners, • Valid driver’s license a plus.
