In this role, you'll work closely with production teams across machining, fabrication, welding, assembly, and finishing operations to verify product quality, identify issues before they reach customers, and support continuous improvement efforts. What You'll Do ✅ Perform in-process and final inspections to verify products meet dimensional and cosmetic requirements. ✅ Inspect incoming raw materials, outside-processed parts, and purchased components. ✅ Identify nonconforming materials and communicate rework or corrective action requirements. ✅ Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities and quality investigations. ✅ Complete inspection records, First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), and quality documentation accurately. ✅ Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, pin gauges, thickness testers, and gloss meters. ✅ Conduct process audits and quality checks throughout manufacturing operations. ✅ Support calibration activities for inspection equipment and maintain calibration records. ✅ Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement corrective and preventive actions. ✅ Provide guidance and support to production personnel regarding quality requirements and inspection standards. ✅ Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. ✅ Develop skills on advanced inspection technologies, including CMM and portable CMM systems. What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications ✔ Experience working in a manufacturing, fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, or finishing environment. ✔ Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills. ✔ Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. ✔ Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office. ✔ Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking. ✔ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. ✔ Strong communication and problem-solving skills. ✔ High School Diploma or GED. Preferred Qualifications ✔ Quality inspection or quality control experience in a fabrication or machining environment. ✔ Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). ✔ Experience performing process audits and compliance inspections. ✔ Exposure to CMM equipment, FARO Arm systems, or PC-DMIS software. ✔ Interest in pursuing AWS Certified Associate Welding Inspector (AWS-CAWI) certification. ✔ Experience supporting corrective and preventive action initiatives. Work Environment This position is based in a fast-paced manufacturing facility and requires movement throughout multiple production departments, including fabrication, machining, welding, finishing, assembly, and final inspection. Team members regularly work around manufacturing equipment and machinery while utilizing precision measuring tools and inspection equipment. The role requires standing, walking, bending, squatting, and occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds while maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and quality. Ready to Make an Impact? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
