The CDL-A Driver is responsible for driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight and drive and drop routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading food and food related products to customers in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: • Performs all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; inspects tractor/truck and trailer to insure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed. Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required., • Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies., • Immediately reports all safety hazards. Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight., • Performs count check of items and check customer invoices of products that have been loaded. Checks and completes in an accurate and in legible fashion all required paperwork associated with freight., • Moves tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed., • Drives to and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule. Unloads products from the trailer, transports items into designated customer storage areas., • Performs damage control checks on items, scans, and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy. Verifies delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures. Collects money (cash or checks) where required., • Loads customer returns on to trailer and secures trailer doors. Ensures that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or always secured., • Unloads damaged goods and customer returns and bring to the driver check-in and complete necessary paperwork. Unloads all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required., • Completes daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements., • Performs general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean as required. At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork., • Performs other related duties as assigned. Cook/Food Service (Per Diem) Location: All Straight & Narrow Program Locations (Paterson/Passaic/ Secaucus). Job Summary: The Food Service and Delivery Staff support the preparation, packaging, service, and safe handling of meals in compliance with established food service standards, while ensuring timely and accurate delivery to designated locations. This position plays a key role in daily kitchen operations, upholds cleanliness and sanitation requirements, and delivers courteous, professional service during meal distribution and delivery. Job Specific Responsibilities and Duties: Professional Conduct and Communication: Professional communication among all staff is essential and is the responsibility of every employee. This includes communication via email, verbal interaction, text messages, and phone calls. Staff are expected to communicate clearly, respectfully, and in a timely manner always. Mobile phones and earpieces are not permitted during working hours. All food service staff are visible to clients, visitors, interns, etc. and must maintain a high level of professionalism. Job Description Motor Assistance Vehicle Technician (MAVT)/ Motor Assistance Vehicle Operator (MAVO) SUMMARY: The Motor Assistance Vehicle Technician/Operator (MAVT/MAVO) is responsible for all aspects of patients’ care within the scope of certification. Essential Job Functions The Motor Assistance Vehicle Technician/Operator (MAVT/MAVO) is an integral part of the Virgo transportation team. In this position the MAVT/MAVO transports ambulatory patients to and from residences and or skilled nursing facilities to medical treatments and or appointments, and then return them. Some of the patients are able to ambulate to our vehicles while other must be moved in their wheelchairs, or are able to move on their electric scooters. No person is to ride the lift while standing, or on the electric scooter. The patients are placed in a wheelchair to go up on the lift, and they are moved inside and secured to the vehicle either on the bench seat or in the wheelchair. Should there be an aide or family member accompanying the patient, they must be secured in the vehicle as well. The MAVT/MAVO must check to see if any belongings or paperwork must accompany the patient for the transport, and then ensure that it gets dropped off with the patient. For each trip the appropriate documentation must be filled out, and where required, obtain the necessary signatures from the patient and /or facility. In the event monies are to be collected at time of service, a receipt is to be filled out and a copy given to the patient, or the person accompanying the patient. The MAVT/MAVO must be capable of good oral communications as for every leg of the trip dispatch must be communicated with, as to alert them to the status of the transport. In addition should any incident occur dispatch must be notified in a timely manner. The vehicle being used for any particular shift must be checked both prior and post usage for mechanical operations, fluids, and general cleanliness. The MAVT/MAVO must be able to utilize maps in order to locate facilities or residences that they are not aware of, with the assistance of dispatch. At the conclusion of the MAVT’s/MAVO's shift they must turn in the appropriate paperwork, and monies collected. The Motor Assistance Vehicle Technician/Operator (MAVT/MAVO) is responsible for all aspects of patients' care within the scope of certification. The Motor Assistance Vehicle Technician/Operator (MAVT/MAVO) is an integral part of the Virgo transportation team. In this position the MAVT/MAVO transports ambulatory patients to and from residences and or skilled nursing facilities to medical treatments and or appointments, and then return them. Some of the patients are able to ambulate to our vehicles while other must be moved in their wheelchairs, or are able to move on their electric scooters. No person is to ride the lift while standing, or on the electric scooter. The patients are placed in a wheelchair to go up on the lift, and they are moved inside and secured to the vehicle either on the bench seat or in the wheelchair. Should there be an aide or family member accompanying the patient, they must be secured in the vehicle as well. The MAVT/MAVO must check to see if any belongings or paperwork must accompany the patient for the transport, and then ensure that it gets dropped off with the patient. For each trip the appropriate documentation must be filled out, and where required, obtain the necessary signatures from the patient and /or facility. In the event monies are to be collected at time of service, a receipt is to be filled out and a copy given to the patient, or the person accompanying the patient. The MAVT/MAVO must be capable of good oral communications as for every leg of the trip dispatch must be communicated with, as to alert them to the status of the transport. In addition should any incident occur dispatch must be notified in a timely manner. The vehicle being used for any particular shift must be checked both prior and post usage for mechanical operations, fluids, and general cleanliness. Job Description The Dispatcher (Tuesday to Sunday) will oversee local route planning and scheduling, ensuring timely communication and coordination within the team. This role requires managing dispatch operations efficiently directly reporting to the Operations Manager. The Dispatcher plays a critical role in logistics coordination, compliance monitoring, and team collaboration to support smooth operational flow in the assigned geographic area. Start time is at 6:00 AM, usually a 10-hour shift.
