Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION Position: Warehouse Supervisor Terms: Full-time paid position with benefits Competitive salary commensurate with education and experience 1. Purpose of the position The job holder’s goal is to exceed the customer’s expectation of service by providing safe quality food. The Warehouse Supervisor will assist the Warehouse Manager in handling the daily operations of the warehouse, including freight, shipping and receiving, returns and transfers. The Warehouse Supervisor will assist the Warehouse Manager in maintaining high levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations, lead and develop the warehouse team and provide impeccable customer service to our clients. The Warehouse Supervisor goal is to exceed the customer’s expectations of service through safe quality food. 3. Main Duties The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for, but not limited to, the following specific tasks. • Maintaining a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the warehouse and receiving mission in an effective and efficient manner., • Ensuring the most efficient and arcuate processing of Picking-process, Shipping Instructions, Receiving-process , Bill of Ladings and Delivery Notes., • Ensures the timely and correct delivery, receiving and picking of all customer orders, purchase orders and manufacturing orders., • Planning and coordinating the daily task for the date., • Re-training and evaluating performance of warehouse workers when need it., • Ensuring the execution of efficient of shipping and receiving., • Resolving any discrepancies with the shipping and receiving of goods according to customers and purchase orders., • Using the company’s electronic Scanner System to accurately book orders, move pallets, receive ingredients, pick’ orders and book customer orders., • Operating the company's scanner and computer ERP system for all warehouse movements (after training)., • Ensuring the department’s adherence to all SQF, cGMP, SSOP’s, Work safety and LOTO rules and regulations., • Understanding and following first in first out (FIFO)., • Ensuring the timely and correct delivery, receiving and picking of all customer orders, purchase orders and manufacturing orders., • Ensuring department is operating safely and efficiently., • Ensuring that all material deviations condition or damages are handled according to the company procedures., • Working with all departments to ensure safe quality food., • Ensuring required documentation is always accurate and completed in a timely manner. On floor duties: • Setting-up workload and workforce distribution according to demand., • Knowledge and checking of the process flow., • Being able to perform and train on all processes of the department., • Being available for shift changeover procedure., • Promoting food and work quality and safety., • Promoting department efficiency., • Executing and documenting warehouse employee trainings., • Assisting with vacation and coverage planning., • Participating in meetings. 3.2 Information and communication activities • Maintain open and professional communication, both internally and externally, with A&S management, A&S colleagues, and A&S vendors., • Provide timely information to manager on discrepancies found that require additional discussion., • Communicate with Warehouse Manager to improve the department., • Works with Production, Sanitation departments on the needs of the facility., • Coordinates all repairs with Maintenance department. If necessary (Hilo). 4. Qualifications 4.1 Requirements for fulfilling the position (general) Training and education: High school diploma / GED or equivalent education. Further education and training: Proficient in Microsoft Office. Professional experience: Minimum of 3 years Experienced warehouse supervisor, experience in food manufacturing environment is a plus. Candidates must have previous warehouse supervisory experience. Demonstrate ability to supervise a successful warehouse department. Possesses good communication skills Previous supervisory experience and strong supervisory skills required. Must be able to operate all via the company’s various forklift, Hi-Lo-trucks and pallet jack equipment (Once trained and certified). Able to create Reports in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Able to organize a department. Ability to document procedures and SOPs. Strong skills in the training of employees. Physical Requirements: Does not suffer and/or does not have a history of food and dust allergies. Able to lift 50 lb. for periods of time. Able to be on your feet for long periods of time. Can climb ladders to a height of 30 feet Other languages preferred: Spanish Language criteria: Able to read, write and speak English.
