The Big Picture: As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization by managing accurate and timely accounting operations. You will be responsible for preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a passion for numbers, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Location: This position will work onsite out of our Corporate Office in Sandy Springs, GA Monday – Thursday, with work from home flexibility on Fridays. What that looks like day to day: • Prepare and post journal entries for assigned activity, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP, • Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts monthly, • Review journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by staff accountant and/or automated within our ERP, • Build and document scalable accounting processes and workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy, • Assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, • Conduct variance analysis for budgets versus actuals and provide actionable insights to management, • Ensure compliance with tax reporting and other regulatory requirements, • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and reporting, • Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions, • Assist with financial audits by preparing documentation and coordinating responses with auditors, • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CPA track strongly preferred), • 3-5 years of accounting experience in a similar role, • Experience with process creation, documentation, and improvement a bonus, • Advanced Excel proficiency, including experience with VLOOKUPs, INDEX, SUMIFs, IF statements, and pivot tables for data analysis and reporting, • ERP system experience (NetSuite is a plus, but not required), with the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems How You Work (Key Attributes): • Adaptability and Flexibility: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with undefined processes and able to pivot as needed, • Process-Oriented Mindset: Ability to independently build, document, and refine accounting processes to improve efficiency, • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy, ensuring financial records are precise and discrepancies are identified quickly, • Self-Driven and Proactive: Takes ownership of tasks and delivers high-quality results with minimal supervision, • Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Capable of addressing challenges and developing effective solutions in an evolving environment What We Offer: • Onsite work environment with work-from-home flexibility on Fridays, fostering collaboration and relationship building with peers, cross-functional partners, and leadership., • The stability and resources of an industry-leading company successfully operating for 25 years, with the agility and innovation of a startup, allowing you to make a significant impact and shape our future., • Growth & Development – Each team member has a visible and immediate impact on the business, offering abundant opportunities for personal and professional growth as we scale in size and sophistication., • Healthcare plans that include health/dental/vision insurance, 401K Plan, company-paid life insurance and short-term disability, flexible spending account options, and more., • Paid time off, including sick days & holidays to support work-life balance.
