Embark cohorts bring together small groups of couples for a structured learning journey that includes facilitated sessions with a rabbi, relationship-centered dialogue, immersive retreats, and opportunities to build lasting Jewish community and friendships. The Executive Director will be responsible for growing Embark into a scaled, high-impact program while preserving the warmth, accessibility, and relational depth that define the experience. This leader will oversee strategy, program expansion, staff leadership and operational execution across North America. This role requires a builder and operator who can translate vision into action. The Accounting/Treasury Manager is primarily responsible for cash flow planning, analysis, and reporting with enhanced focus on daily cash movement operations. The Accounting/Treasury Manager maintains retail banking relations for ADAPT Community Network and manages all cash positioning activities. The position requires proactive management of liquidity to ensure operational needs are met while optimizing interest income. The Accounting/Treasury Manager must exercise independent judgment within established policies and objectives that influence treasury operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Accounting/Treasury Manager will manage two staff accountants, and the duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: TREASURY FUNCTIONS • Monitors and reviews all cash and investment account transactions daily to ensure appropriate balances are maintained for ongoing operations., • Executes daily cash positioning and movement between accounts to optimize cash utilization and minimize fees while ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations., • Forecasts short-term and long-term cash requirements and develops strategies to meet those needs., • Manages lines of credit, including initiating drawdowns or repayments with approval of the authorized signers., • Monitors compliance with the terms of lines of credit, especially compliance with periodic payoff requirements., • Works with authorized bank signatories to maintain proper banking access and authority levels following internal control requirements., • Assists with online banking access management under the guidance of authorized signatories., • Maintains authorized signatory documentation for all cash and investment accounts in accordance with Board approval and bank policy., • Coordinates the timely and accurate monthly ACH payments required., • Manages electronic banking relationships and systems, including ACH origination, wire transfers, and remote deposit capture., • Reviews Bank Reconciliations. About the Role We're looking for a hands-on Software Engineer with strong Python skills to join our team. This role will partner with the CTO and operations teams to focus on improving day-to-day operations workflows, owning and maintaining the internal tooling backbone, and unblocking operational friction across our business. You'll be stepping into a role previously held by our CTO and co-founder, and you'll play a critical part in supporting and scaling the infrastructure behind our products and services. This is a high-impact, high-context role that combines software engineering, internal tooling, and operational excellence. Responsibilities * Own and evolve our internal Python-based tooling platform used across engineering and ops. * Build and maintain operational automation scripts, developer tools, and workflow integrations. * Debug and resolve blocking operational issues across deployment pipelines, environments, and infrastructure. * Collaborate closely with the Ops team to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort through automation. * Partner with engineering teams to streamline internal processes like customer onboarding and support tooling. * Monitor and improve reliability of key internal systems and support services. * Occasionally serve as a point of escalation for high-priority operational incidents * Drive development and implementation of AI tools and features within the business operations Skills and Qualifications * 6-12 years of experience in software engineering or operations roles, ideally in high-growth environments. * Strong Python skills. You've built and maintained internal tools, scripts, or small services. * Familiarity with TypeScript. You may need to modify or add new endpoints to our TypeScript APIs to support improving existing workflows or building new ones * A generalist mindset: you're comfortable wearing multiple hats and context-switching when needed. * Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to cross-team work. * A bias for pragmatism and iteration.
