This is an IC role. You are not a generalist sales leader but a sector specialist with deep fluency in the industries you serve, the relationships to match, and the strategic vision to build long-term, high-value partnerships that neither side could achieve anywhere else. The motorsport audience is one of the most commercially valuable in media. Demographically skewed toward high-income, brand-engaged consumers with strong affinity for financial products, technology, and sports betting, this audience represents an extraordinary opportunity for brands across all four verticals and one that remains significantly under monetized. Your mandate is to change that. This role sits at the very top of the client-facing organization. You will be the face of Motorsport Network to C-suite and VP-level marketing decision-makers, brand managers, and agency partners across your sectors. You will contribute to and help shape how the company goes to market, influence product and content strategy through client intelligence, and establish Motorsport Network as the indispensable partner for any financial services, FinTech, gaming, or technology brand seeking authentic access to this audience. The best candidate for this role is someone who has lived inside these industries and fluently understands the regulatory landscape, the compliance constraints, the media buying dynamics, and the creative possibilities. This role is for someone energized by the challenge of translating that knowledge into commercially transformative outcomes within a premium sports, entertainment and media environment.Sector FocusYou will own the go-to-market strategy, senior relationships, and revenue targets across the following four verticals:Financial Services • Global and regional banks, investment firms, insurance providers, credit card companies, and wealth management brands with established or emerging motorsport sponsorship presence, • Senior relationships with CMO, SVP, and VP-level brand, sponsorship, and media teams at financial institutions, • Integrated campaign development leveraging Motorsport Network’s premium editorial environment to reach affluent, financially engaged audiences, • Sponsorship and branded content partnerships aligned to major racing series, events, and Motorsport Network’s global portfolio of brands, • Agency coordination across financial services-specialist shops, holding companies, and media planning teamsFinTech, • Challenger banks, payments platforms, crypto and digital asset brands, trading apps, and personal finance tools targeting the motorsport and performance automotive demographic, • Partnerships designed to reach a tech-forward, high-income audience with strong appetite for financial innovation, • Co-branded content, podcast integrations, and digital campaigns that authentically connect FinTech brands to motorsport culture, • Flexible deal structures suited to high-growth, performance-oriented FinTech marketing models, including CPA-adjacent and outcome-linked partnership frameworks, • Navigation of compliance and regulatory considerations relevant to FinTech advertising in the US and international marketsGaming & Betting, • Sports betting operators, daily fantasy platforms, iGaming brands, and traditional gaming companies with motorsport or automotive audience overlap, • Deep understanding of the regulatory environment governing gambling and betting advertising across US states and international jurisdictions, • Partnership structures that leverage Motorsport Network’s race weekend presence, live data capabilities, and endemic editorial credibility, • Branded content and sponsorship solutions that navigate responsible gambling frameworks while delivering commercially meaningful audience exposure, • Video game publishers, esports organizations, and sim racing platforms with motorsport IP and audience alignmentTechnology, • Consumer and enterprise technology brands, including hardware manufacturers, software platforms, AI companies, and connected device makers. All with audiences that align to the technically sophisticated motorsport fan demographic, • Senior relationships with CMO, VP Marketing, and brand team decision-makers at global technology companies, including those with existing motorsport sponsorship or innovation partnerships, • Integrated campaign development that leverages motorsport’s position as a proving ground for cutting-edge technology from advanced telemetry and AI to EV powertrain innovation and connectivity, • Co-branded content and editorial partnerships that authentically connect technology narratives to motorsport performance, engineering, and the future of mobility, • Agency coordination across technology-specialist media shops, holding companies, and performance marketing teamsKey ResponsibilitiesSector Ownership & Revenue Leadership • Own and deliver annual revenue targets across all four verticals, with accountability to the Global CCO, • Define the go-to-market strategy for each sector, including priority accounts, deal structures, and pricing frameworks, • Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline with accurate forecasting and senior visibility into deal progressionSenior Client & Agency Relationships, • Serve as the primary executive relationship holder for key brand and agency partners across Financial Services, FinTech, Gaming & Betting, and Technology, • Operate at C-suite and VP level with clients, functioning as a trusted strategic advisor rather than a transactional seller, • Navigate complex agency ecosystems including holding companies, media agencies, and sector-specialist shops, to influence both planning and buying decisionsIntegrated Partnership Development, • Originate, structure, and close multi-platform, multi-year partnerships spanning digital media, branded content, sponsorship, video, social, and experiential, • Work with editorial, creative, and product teams to develop bespoke solutions that deliver measurable client outcomes, • Champion client needs internally, ensuring Motorsport Network’s commercial offerings evolve to meet the demands of these sectorsRegulatory & Compliance Fluency, • Maintain working knowledge of advertising regulations governing financial services and gambling/betting marketing in key markets, including FCA guidelines (UK), SEC/FINRA considerations (US), and state-by-state betting advertising rules, • Ensure all partnership proposals are structured in a manner that can realistically pass client compliance review, avoiding wasted cycles on commercially unviable structures, • Serve as an internal resource for compliance-adjacent questions as Motorsport Network develops deeper capability in these sectorsMarket Intelligence & Strategic Influence, • Maintain deep knowledge of each sector’s competitive dynamics, media investment trends, audience strategies, and marketing priorities, • Translate client and market intelligence into strategic recommendations for leadership on product, content, and commercial positioning, • Represent Motorsport Network at the highest-profile industry events and conferences relevant to your verticals from Cannes Lions and CES to ICE, SBC Summit, and Money20/20Cross-Functional Leadership, • Collaborate with global sales colleagues to ensure sector expertise is shared and leveraged across markets, • Partner with marketing and communications to develop sector-specific thought leadership and case study content, • Contribute to the development of Motorsport Network’s broader commercial strategy alongside the CCO and senior leadership teamWhat We’re Looking ForEssential, • 12+ years of senior commercial experience in media, sponsorship, or marketing partnerships, with direct sector exposure in at least two of: Financial Services, FinTech, Gaming & Betting, or Technology, • A demonstrable network of senior relationships with brand-side marketing decision-makers and agency partners across your sectors, • Proven track record of closing large, complex, multi-year partnership deals (ideally seven-figure) at a media, sports, or entertainment property, • Deep understanding of the digital media and advertising landscape, including programmatic, branded content, video, and integrated sponsorship models, • Working knowledge of the regulatory and compliance considerations that govern advertising in financial services and gambling categories, • The credibility and commercial sophistication to operate as a peer to VP and C-level clients, not just a vendor, • Excellent communication, storytelling, and negotiation skills.
