Position Summary We’re looking for an energetic Counter Salesperson who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys helping customers find the perfect solution. In this role, you’ll assist walk-in and phone-in customers, promote our stocked products, and use your product knowledge to upsell and cross-sell for maximum customer satisfaction and sales growth. What you will do • Assist customers in selecting HVAC and plumbing products that meet their needs., • Recommend complementary items and promote stocked brands., • Educate customers on product features, benefits, and competitive advantages., • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business., • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked counter area and displays., • Process orders accurately and efficiently using company systems., • Follow up on open orders to ensure customer satisfaction., • Stay up to date on product knowledge and industry trends. What you will need • 2+ years of counter sales or customer service experience in HVAC, plumbing, irrigation, or fire suppression with wholesale distribution., • High School Diploma or GED required., • Strong communication and relationship-building skills., • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for up to 8 hours per day., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn company software quickly. Overview To maximize the sales of supplier brands to the trade and consumer through effective territory planning, selling, merchandising, and communicating that permits achievement of company and supplier goals. The sales rep will be working in North Jersey. It is preferred that the incumbent has 2+ years of sales experience. Responsibilities Preparation and PlanningA sales representative (SR) is required to plan times and activities toward achieving of Company and supplier volume, distribution, promoting displays, and shelf/cold box management and merchandising goals within the assigned accounts and, in on-premise accounts, wine list promotions, drink lists, food menu marketing, and back bar merchandising goals SellingA SR is required to deliver sales presentations toward achieving Company goals (e.g. brand building goals) and supplier goals (e.g. quotas) and to utilize all marketing and promotional opportunities available to ensure sell through and continued sales of the Company product line Supplier/Supervisory InteractionA SR is required to familiarize himself/herself with all suppliers and their brands aimed at achieving positive consumer reaction Recordkeeping and CommunicatingA SR is required to maintain account records in accordance with published Company policies and procedures MiscellaneousA SR acknowledges and represents that:1.
