Job Description Raycap, Inc., an industry leader in manufacturing solutions for telecommunications, renewable energy, transportation, defense, and other applications, is currently looking for a Material Handler in our Kearny, NJ facility. This is a fast-paced position in a metal manufacturing environment. The Material Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, tracking, and maintaining the accurate movement of materials within the shipping and warehouse environment. This role serves as a key link between shipping, inventory control, production, and logistics to ensure materials are properly received, staged, processed, and shipped on time. The Material Coordinator must be highly detail-oriented, computer savvy, and comfortable working in Microsoft 365 and SAP or other Warehouse Management Systems to maintain real-time visibility of inventory and material status. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, system discipline, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and on-time customer shipments. First Shift: Monday through Friday; 7:00 am - 3:30 pm with overtime as required Primary Job Responsibilities: • Coordinate and track inbound and outbound material within the shipping department, • Maintainaccurateinventory records in SAP or other WMS platforms, • Process shipping transactions, material movements, and system confirmations, • Ensure materials are properly staged, labeled, and prepared for shipment, • Reconcile physical inventory with system inventory andassistwith cycle counts and audits, • Communicate with warehouse, production, logistics, and planning teamsregardingmaterial status, • Generate andmaintainreports using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft 365 tools, • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, unit-of-measure issues, and shipping errors, • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy and workflow efficiency, • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and shipping procedures, • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area, • High school diploma or GED, • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced shipping environment, • Strong computer skills withproficiencyin Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint), • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Working knowledge of SAP or another Warehouse Management System (WMS), • Must be able to lift to 75 pounds, • Strong working knowledge of shipping documentation (BOLs, packing lists, transfer orders, ASN’s), • Proven problem-solving skills related to inventory discrepancies and shipping variances, • The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, keyboard,s or controls, • Handle long periods of physical activity while maintaining safety and accuracy., • Work in varying warehouse conditions, including hot, cold, or noisy environments., • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely for extended periods., • Reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear, • Occasionally required to walk, sit, and may also be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus BREAK/LUNCH: 30-minute lunch, plus two 15-minute breaks, to be determined by manager UNION: IBEW Local Union 3 BENEFITS: Please reference the IBEW Local 3 Union Contract for details on all benefits. • Medical/Dental/Vision/HRA/Annuity - 6 months from date of hire, • Vacation Time - will begin effective June 30th, after 6 months of continuous employment, • Sick Time - will begin accruing from day one, • Mandatory Union Dues - $7/week, $28/month, • Mandatory One Time $182 Union Application Fee Drug-free workplace.
