Job DescriptionJob Title: Chemical HandlerJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Chemical Handler to join our team, where you will be responsible for the manual plating of small electronic parts and handling various chemicals. The role involves working in a cleanroom environment and ensuring the safe and efficient management of chemicals and materials. Responsibilities • Manually plate small electronic parts by hand-dipping them into chemicals., • Handle chemicals stored in large 55-gallon drums using a hand truck for transportation., • Manage chemicals and materials in the storage area and transport them to production., • Perform various production tasks, such as supplying chemicals and tooling to production, receiving incoming QA, and assisting with shipping and receiving., • Clean metal screen frames using alcohol and remove tape from frames., • Ensure cleanliness and organization in the work area, adhering to 5S principles., • Log work completed in the computer system and maintain accurate records., • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including coveralls, boots, eye glasses, and gloves., • Proficient in chemical handling and plating processes., • Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)., • Strong computer skills for logging and record-keeping., • Basic math skills., • 6 months of manufacturing experience is preferred., • Ability to safely lift, push, and carry up to 60 lbs. Work Environment The work environment involves microelectronic manufacturing with a focus on quality and timely work. Protective clothing and gear such as boots, apron, ear plugs, safety glasses, face shield, and mask will be provided. The area can become dusty, and employees are required to wear PPE at all times. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
