Job Description We are looking for an individual not only with a passion for cooking, but also with a true and kind heart for seniors, someone who genuinely cares about making them happy through the nutritious meals they help prepare. In this role you will be assisting with the preparation, seasoning and cooking of meals for residents who choose to call The Bristal home as well as employees – and all as directed by the Director of Food Service or the Sous Chef. The loving care, attention and skills you bring to the services you provide are fundamental to the quality of life and the general wellbeing of our residents every day. Full-time position includes one weekend day. Additional responsibilities include: • Helping to prepare food for the next meal service, which includes chopping, measuring and mixing ingredients according to established recipes, • Ensuring all procedures are conducted following required health department and company regulations, • Checking all food temperatures prior to meal service, • A minimum of 3 years' experience in food handling and preparation, sanitation, and safety standards for institutions and/or restaurants, • Culinary or cooking school experience/courses preferred; a minimum of a high school degree, • Must be able to excel in a fast-paced environment, • Excellent ability to prioritize, deliver topnotch customer service and multi-task in a busy environment, • Ability to understand the English language and follow instructions with minimal supervision, • Proven ability to follow all rules, regulations, policies and sanitary standards established by management

THE OPPORTUNITY AT HAND We’re looking for a Testing Technician that is passionate and empathetic people to join our team as Ophthalmic Techs. Our Techs are responsible for all the pre-exam elements of the patient visit. This includes gathering and documenting patient information and history and conducting routine and ancillary patient testing. You’ll play a vital role in the patients experience with OCLI and in helping our Dr’s to diagnose and treat eye disorders. OUR EXPECTATIONS OF YOU • Tests and measures eye function to assist Ophthalmologist to diagnose and treat eye disorders and disease, • Performs and records initial history; including present/chief complaint, past ocular history, family history, systemic illness, medications, allergies and drug reactions, • Tests and records patient's far acuity, near acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception, and color perception, • Measures intraocular pressure of eyes (glaucoma test), excluding applanation, • Performs ancillary test such as lensometry, corneal topography, A scans, B scans, keratometry, fundus photography, slit lamp photography, specular misoscopy, and visual fields, (including central and peripheral vision); records results, • Transcribes physician's dictation into patient chart when applicable, • Knowledgeable in ocular pharmacology such as anesthetics, steroids, antibiotics, mydriatics and cycloplegics, epinephrine, miotics and non-steroidal anti-inflammatories, • Applies drops to anesthetize, dilate, or medicate eyes, • Collects and processes specimens for appropriate laboratory testing, • Prepares and stocks exam rooms; assists with exam, • Triages emergency cases appropriately into physician’s schedule, maintains patient flow, • Prepares patient and procedure room; assists ophthalmologist with in office procedures, • Performs first level maintenance on ophthalmic equipment and notifies office manager of any equipment malfunctions, • Utilizes as appropriate, infection control techniques and universal precautions, • Performs other tests and measurements as requested by Ophthalmologist, • Maintains confidentiality and professional demeanor at all times WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED • You have one-year certificate from college or technical school; minimum two years experience as an ophthalmic assistant or equivalent combination of education and experience., • You are CPR Certified, • You’re an excellent communicator – both verbally and written, • You’re outgoing, you love the idea of interacting with patients everyday, • You’re comfortable providing white glove service and responding quickly to our patients needs, • You’re a dependable problem solver – you’re the one people call to keep cool in stressful situations, • You have a positive, can-do attitude and work well in collaborative environments, • You’re flexible – you roll with the punches and easily accept change, • You’re knowledgeable in ocular pharmacology such as anesthetics, steroids, antibiotics, mydriatics and cycloplegics, epinephrine, miotics and non-steroidal anti-inflammatories is a PLUS, but not a requirement, • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
