What qualifications you will need: · Graduated from an accredited school for Respiratory Care, recognized by the NBRC. · One year experience in Respiratory Care and with documented training completed in NICU and/or Pediatrics required • · CRT, RRT by NBRC upon hire., • · Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner., • · Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider required, • · Current NRP and PALS required., • · ACLS preferred (requirements are facility-based) PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS · All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period. · Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need. · Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule period. · During the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee). · Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. There are no guaranteed hours by the hospital. · Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401(k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policy. · Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for extra shift bonuses (D1/CND or D2/ECD) · Registered Nurses who are in the Seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation. · Current employees are not eligible to join the Seasonal program for 2025—26. · Current employees of HWS are not eligible for the seasonal program. · Shifts may vary based on the needs of the department. You will notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response., • You will assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients., • You will respond to emergent patient situations and ensure airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation as required. Job Summary and Qualifications • The Nurse Manager of Blood Cancer is responsible for all department functions in support of the hospital’s Mission, Vision and facility goals., • You will identify the cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department, taking into account business trends, resource availability and changes in customers related to our service to the Blood Cancer and Stem Cell population., • You will establish effective working relationships with all constituencies, including patients physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors., • You will identify and remedy continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement., • You will work with Senior Management in meeting the goals of the facility and the Blood Cancer and Stem Cell Units What qualifications you will need: EDUCATION: • Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license., • Current American Heart Association BLS provider.
